Acai Bowls Lisbon: 11 Best Places to Go for Acai in Lisbon [2024]

by

If there are two things I love in this life it’s acai and Lisbon.

And luckily, Lisbon is a place that knows how to create a delicious acai bowl!

I recently lived in the city for a month and a good chunk of my time here was spent trying out all the acai bowls.

If you want to know the best places to go for acai in Lisbon then you’re in luck because I’ve put all this knowledge to good use by rounding up all my favourites!

Whether you want to grab a quick acai in a cafe or indulge in acai on a rooftop, here are the 11 best places to enjoy acai bowls in Lisbon.

1. Boutik Lisboa

Address: R. de São Bento 106D, 1200-820 Lisboa

Phone number: +351 213 960 773

Price per bowl: €6

For relaxed ocean vibes, head to Boutik Lisboa, a café, surf shack, and lifestyle hub situated in São Bento.

They serve a variety of healthy homemade food here, including brunch dishes, poké bowls, and of course, acai bowls!

Their acai bowl is my all-time favourite in the city so it firmly deserves its #1 spot on this list.

It costs just €6 and sits among a line-up of other fantastic smoothie bowls, including Mango Tango, Green Power, and Peanut Gang.

Their acai bowl, however, comprises acai, almond and coconut milk, banana, strawberry, granola, and seeds.

While all of the toppings were delicious, it’s their granola that truly steals the show.

It was some of the tastiest granola I’ve ever eaten, and the portion sizes were amazing too!

While waiting for your acai, be sure to explore their inspiring store which sells everything from handcrafted local goods to ethical international brands.

I left a piece of my heart at Boutik and I’m sure you will too!

2. Fauna & Flora

Address: Multiple locations

Price per bowl: €6.50

An icon on the Lisbon brunch scene, Fauna & Flora deserves all its hype and then some!

On their wide-ranging menu, you’ll find everything from smoothie bowls and toasts to pancakes and burgers.

Their acai bowl costs just €6.50 making it one of the cheapest in the city – and just like Boutik’s, it’s also great value for money!

For €6.50, you get a generous portion of tasty acai topped with strawberries, kiwi, banana, kiwi, granola, and chia seeds.

After your first bite, you’ll already be planning when you can make your next trip back to enjoy it again!

If you’re keeping things healthy, then stick to just the acai.

However, if you fancy treating yourself, their brunch cocktails come highly recommended (from me!).

Fauna & Flora are dotted around a few locations in the city, too, so it’s a great option no matter where you’re based.

3. Dear Breakfast

Address: Multiple locations

Price per bowl: From €8

Just like Fauna & Flora, Dear Breakfast is also an iconic Instagrammable brunch spot with locations in Chiado, Alfama, and Bica.

Their menu is a little more limited but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t impress!

On it, you’ll find two acai bowls, alongside egg-centric dishes like Turkish eggs, omelettes, and eggs Benedict.

Their signature €8.90 acai bowl comprises acai, granola, berries, coconut flakes, and honey.

However, you can ask for it without honey to make it vegan, as I did!

While it was super tasty and the granola was amazing, I’d say this bowl could have done with some more acai and fewer toppings.

Alternatively, there’s a slightly cheaper €8 fusion bowl which gets you acai, yoghurt, granola, kiwi, banana, strawberry, and honey.

No trip to Lisbon is complete without a visit to Dear Breakfast so visit here and thank me later!

4. Manjerica

Address: Rua João das Regras, Praça da Figueira 5-A, 1100-293 Lisboa

Price per bowl: €7.80

If an ‘all-veggie-vegan brunch spot’ is music to your ears, then you’ll love Manjerica just as much as I do.

This gorgeous and relaxed eatery has a super long menu filled with so much plant-based goodness.

We’re talking pancakes, toasts, risotto, burgers, wraps, and more!

Their acai bowl comes in at a sweet €7.80 and comes with fresh fruit, granola, and an extra topping of your choice.

Have your pick from classic, chocolate, and buckwheat granola.

Similarly, for your extra topping, choose from honey, maple syrup, red fruit coulis, and lemon curd.

Manjerica doesn’t mess around when it comes to their portion sizes (the same can be said for their coffee!), so this bowl is sure to leave you satisfied and satiated.

This is one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Lisbon and I’m sure that after just one visit you’ll agree!

5. JAC Brunch & Concept Store

Address: R. da Rosa 240, 1200-348 Lisboa

Phone number: +351 21 605 7762

Price per bowl: €8.90

With its gigantic teddy bears, ornate ceiling, pastel pink accents, and ample greenery, JAC Brunch & Concept Store is one of the most beautiful brunch spots in Lisbon.

But don’t worry because JAC Brunch & Concept Store has more than just stunning interiors going for it.

You’ll be pleased to hear that they serve some seriously tasty food, including pancakes, sandwiches, and avocado toast.

On their menu, you’ll find their €8.90 acai bowl which is topped with granola and seasonal fruit.

This one is easily one of my favourite acai bowls in Lisbon, not least because of its amazing portion size!

The lovely people behind JAC Brunch & Concept Store also give you the option to go bottomless on your brunch.

For just €29, you can indulge in any brunch dish (including their acai bowl), 90 minutes of unlimited mimosas and beer, one coffee, and a dessert.

Pretty great value for money, no?!

6. Café Janis

Address: R. Moeda 1A, 1200-109 Lisboa

Price per bowl: €7

Picturesquely perched on the corner of an iconic Cais do Sodré street, Café Janis is a lively eatery that attracts locals and tourists alike.

Their all-day menu features unique and inspiring breakfast dishes, ranging from an Earl Grey chocolate waffle to a Mediterranean breakfast to a vegan salad bowl.

Of course, they also have a fantastic acai bowl that’s well worth shouting about!

It costs just €7 and for this, you get acai topped with fresh fruit, granola, honey, and coconut flakes.

It’s delicious and great value for money as the bowl is big and filling!

However, be warned that Café Janis is small and popular, so I’d advise getting there early to grab yourself a spot.

Later at night, the cafe transforms into a vibey bar serving delicious cocktails, so I’d also recommend sticking around after sunset to try them too!

7. Frutaria Café

Address: R. dos Fanqueiros 269, 1100-232 Lisboa

Phone number: +351 21 887 0414

Price per bowl: €11.50

With a name like that, it’s no surprise that Frutaria Café serves one of the tastiest acai bowls in Lisbon.

Theirs costs €11.50 making it one of the most expensive in the city, but I’d argue that it’s worth it.

For this price, you get four generous scoops of acai, served with granola, strawberries, blueberries, banana, honey, and mint.

It’s a slightly different spin on the other acai bowls in Lisbon, and is well worth trying out!

As well as an amazing acai bowl, the cafe also serves other homemade, fresh food, with plenty of great vegan options.

Think healthy toasts and pancakes, and you’re on the right lines.

8. I Love Nicolau

Address: R. de São Nicolau 17, 1100-547 Lisboa

Phone number: +351 21 886 0312

Price per bowl: €8

With locations all across Portugal, I Love Nicolau is a bit of a brunch institution.

Their seasonal menu features delicious smoothies, salads, pancakes, and other dishes, including a stand-out acai bowl that’s one of the best in the city.

Sure to whet your appetite, their acai bowl is jam-packed with fruit, granola, and so much goodness.

Like the rest of their menu, their fruit is always fresh and seasonal, so the bowl could be topped with anything from strawberries to blueberries to mango.

Their bowl costs €8 which is great value for money when you consider all the bang you get for your buck!

While you’re here, you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you also didn’t try out one of their desserts.

(Well, if you still have a sweet tooth after the acai, that is!)

If there’s no space at Nicolau, head to one of their sister sites (Amélia, Basilio, and Olivia) to enjoy the same delicious acai bowl.

9. Honest Greens

bowl-with-fruit-and-granola-from-honest-greens

Address: Multiple locations

Price per bowl: €7.50

Honest Greens is my favourite spot in Lisbon for healthy fast food.

Their slogan is ‘EAT REAL’ and this is reflected in their ethically-sourced, organic, and unprocessed menu.

They pride themselves on their “sugar-free” acai bowl which is topped with banana, fresh berries, hemp seeds, and housemade keto granola.

Sadly, the batch of acai I got the time I ordered was the least fresh and creamy of all the acai I tried in Lisbon.

It also didn’t have much granola and fruit.

However, the rest of the food I’ve had at Honest Greens has always been phenomenal so I wouldn’t write their acai bowl off just yet.

Please note their acai bowl is only available after 4 pm from their coffee shop, rather than from their main menu.

If you visit Honest Greens in the morning expecting to indulge in some acai, you’ll be disappointed!

11. Oakberry

cups-at-oakberry-acai-bowls-and-smoothies

Address: Multiple locations

Price per bowl: From €6.90

If you need a quick acai fix, then look no further than Oakberry.

Oakberry is all about healthy fast food so you know you can get your bowls at record speed, and they’ll still provide a delicious, natural, and nutritious meal.

The beauty of Oakberry is that their bowls are fully customisable and you can add as many of their free toppings as you wish.

We’re talking fresh fruit, nuts, granola, chia seeds, peanut butter, and more!

As for price, their bowls cost €6.90 for a Classic bowl, €8.90 for Works, and €9.90 for The Oak.

With locations dotted around the city (Cais do Sodré, Saldanha, and São Bento), you’ll never be too far from your next acai bowl thanks to these guys.

So that concludes my round-up of all the best places to go for acai bowls in Lisbon.

Lisbon is a city full of great healthy, vegan food so it’s no surprise that there are loads of places to enjoy acai here.

Pick out some of these acai bowls in Lisbon and try them out during your next trip!
