by

California is no stranger to an acai bowl, and San Francisco is no exception.

While the city may be more well-known for its succulent seafood and crusty sourdough bread, it’s also full of health food spots, plant-based eateries, and fresh smoothie bars.

Luckily for you, this means that there are plenty of great places to find acai bowls in San Francisco!

Whether you’re looking to grab a quick bowl on the go or indulge in an Instagrammable bowl at a fancy cafe, there will be something for you in the city.

So without further ado, scroll down to discover the 29 best places to go for acai bowls in San Francisco!

1. Bowl’d Acai

bowls-from-bowl'd-acai-acai-bowls-san-francisco

Address: 1958 Polk St, San Francisco, CA 94109

Phone number: 415-770-7000

Price per bowl: $14 – $18

You’ll be quickly bowled over by Bowl’d Acai‘s acai bowls.

This amazing acai shop handcrafts its acai bowls to perfection using nothing but fresh, local produce.

They only have four acai bowls on their menu but you’ll forgive them once you discover how tasty they are!

Unsurprisingly, the Original Gangster is their OG bowl.

It’s a classic blend of organic acai, strawberry, and banana, topped with gluten-free granola, banana, strawberry, blueberry, coconut shavings, and honey.

My favorite bowl of theirs is the Green Goliath as they throw organic plant protein into the blend, but the Cheat Day is a great option, too, if you’re a big fan of Nutella.

These Nuts is my second favorite as it comes with peanut butter, sliced almonds, and hemp seeds!

Sound good?

Then, you’ll be paying $14 for a regular bowl or $18 for a large.

2. Blue Hawaii Acai Cafe

Phone number: 415-248-0011

Price per bowl: $9.25 – $16.95

Hawaii is known for its epic acai bowls and Blue Hawaii Acai Cafe is no exception to that rule!

Inspired by the island, this cafe’s menu is filled with acai bowls, poke bowls, and smoothies galore.

They have six amazing acai bowls for you to choose from and each is as tasty as the last.

If it’s a particularly hot day, I’d recommend ordering the Lime Fresh which is acai blended with fresh lime, topped with bananas, berries, granola, honey, and fresh lime.

Yum!

Alternatively, if you’re a fan of spirulina, opt for the Kaiser, or if you love pitaya, then go for the Magic.

However, if you’re someone who likes their acai bowls nice and simple, give the Classic, Simply Blue, or True Blue bowls a go!

The Magic bowl is the most expensive at $16.95, while the rest come in anywhere between $9.25 and $10.75.

3. Sidewalk Juice

Pick-up or delivery is as smooth as the acai they serve, thanks to their easy online ordering service.

They have six delicious bowls for you to try out and they’re all pretty irresistible.

Their most epic bowl is the Twister which comprises acai, pitaya, banana, strawberries, blueberries, granola, and coconut shreds.

But there’s something for everyone on their menu, whether you’re in the mood for peanut butter, Nutella, tropical fruits, or berry bliss!

Every single one of their bowls costs $15, too, so you won’t need to factor price into your decision.

Bebebar isn’t the place for the indecisive, however, as their menu features a whopping eight bowls.

Each is a different blend but they’re all topped with gluten-free vegan granola, strawberry, and banana.

However, you can pay extra for a bunch of different toppings if your heart desires!

My favorite blends of theirs are the Lucia, Celeste, and Naia, but take a look at their menu to see what stands out to you.

As if you needed any more reason to visit here, the bar is locally-owned and community-supported so you know you’re doing your bit for the locals, too.

Serving up some of the most Instagrammable acai bowls in the business, Judahlicious is one of my favorite places to go for acai bowls in San Francisco.

This vegan cafe and juice bar is situated near Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park and serves delicious raw and plant-based fare.

Included in their menu are two incredible acai bowls and a heap of toppings that you can add for extra money.

The first is their $10.50 acai bowl which comprises acai, banana, blueberry, and pumpkin flax granola, and the second is the jungle-style acai bowl.

This one is the same as the first but they swap out the pumpkin flax granola for sunflower, pumpkin seed, and buckwheat granola.

They then sweeten the bowl with Deglet Nour date.

It’s worth the upgrade in my opinion!

This makes it a great spot for picky eaters who’d rather choose what goes into their bowl

However, if I were you, I’d leave it to the experts because they’re acai pros here at Palmetto!

Try The Harvest Blend bowl and thank me later – it’s the stuff of dreams.

Their amazing acai bowls cost $9.85 for a small (12 oz), $11.95 for a medium (16 oz), and $14.75 for a large (24 oz).
