Santa Monica, like the rest of California, is known for its amazing vegan food and health spots.

Cali is an expert when it comes to acai bowls, and I’m sure you’ll be pleased to hear that Santa Monica is no exception!

This gorgeous coastal city is brimming with amazing acai bowls, and luckily for you, I’ve rounded them all up in one place.

All that’s left for you to do is to scroll down and discover the 16 best places to go for acai bowls in Santa Monica!

1. Backyard Bowls

Backyard Bowls are well-loved by locals and tourists alike, and it’s not hard to see why!

Specializing in acai bowls, hot porridge, and smoothies, Backyard Bowls provide healthy and high-quality fast food to the people of Santa Monica.

As you can imagine, they are experts when it comes to crafting the perfect acai bowl, which means you have an amazing six bowls to try.

(I’ve tried a few of their bowls before and I still have a hard time picking my favorite.)

I think it’d have to be the Santa Barbara Bowl, though, as it’s packed with so much goodness!

The base is a blend of acai, banana, strawberry, and hemp milk, and it’s topped with hemp granola, blueberries, strawberries, banana, goji berries, bee pollen, and local honey.

Another menu highlight is the Warrior Bowl, a tasty blend of acai, banana, blueberry, spinach, kale, spirulina, and hemp milk.

They then top it with almonds, strawberries, blueberries, bee pollen, hemp seeds, almond butter, and local honey.

Backyard Bowl’s small bowls cost either $12 or $13, depending on which bowl you order, and their large bowls cost $14.50 or $15.50.

2. Nekter Juice Bar

Address: 1422 2nd St, Santa Monica, CA 90401

Phone number: 310-862-8585

Nekter Juice Bar is popular the nation over for its tasty juices and smoothies, and luckily for you, they have a bar here in Santa Monica!

At Nekter, they have five bowls for you to choose from: the acai banana berry, the acai peanut butter bowl, the acai mango bowl, the PB&J bowl, and the acai superfood bowl.

Their acai superfood bowl is by far the most extravagant of them all and is topped with everything from blueberry and goji berry to hempseed granola and a superfood blend.

However, my favorite of the bowls would have to be the PB&J bowl.

It’s a delicious blend of acai, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry, banana, housemade cashew milk, and agave nectar.

Throw some peanut butter chia, fresh strawberries, peanut butter granola, a scoop of PB, and housemade chia jam on top, and you’re onto a winner with this bowl!

They only use real ingredients here at Nekter and they make their cashew milk fresh daily, so you can expect nothing but the best from your bowl.

3. Go Go Acai

Address: 11419 Santa Monica Blvd #5, Los Angeles, CA 90025

Phone number: 424-346-1425

Price per bowl: $15.50 – $20.50

Acai’s the name and the game at Go Go Acai.

Their regular bowls are priced at $15.50, while their large bowls are priced at $20.50, making them some of the most expensive bowls on this list.

But trust me when I say they’re worth every penny!

They have four acai bowls on their menu ready for you to tuck into, or alternatively, you can build your own bowl if none of them pique your interest.

If you opt for the latter, you’ll get to choose four toppings to add to their delicious organic acai base.

However, when their made-to-order bowls are this delicious, you don’t even really need to make your own.

My favorite of their bowls is the seeds bowl which is served with chia, sunflower, flaxseed, hemp seed, granola, and honey.

Alternatively, tropical lovers will go crazy for their tropical bowl.

It’s topped with pineapple, kiwi, banana, shredded coconut, and granola – yum!

The classic bowl and the vitamin c bowl are equally amazing though, so you’re in for a treat whatever you order.

4. Everbowl

Phone number: 424-252-9655

Price per bowl: $7.99 – $9.99

Everbowl will forever have a place in my heart.

Their slogan is “made from stuff that’s been around forever” which surely should be all our diets, right?!

They like to think of their acai bowls as “nature in a bowl” and I’d be inclined to agree.

You can choose from one of their $7.99 readymade bowls (Everbowl, Tropical, Chewy, or Apple Up), or alternatively, create your own $9.99 Whatever bowl.

For your Whatever bowl, you’ll be enjoying a classic acai base, as well as any of their toppings.

Their toppings range from bonus bases (chia pudding, everoats, granola) and nut butters (almond and peanut) to fresh fruit (cinnamon apples, kiwi, etc.), super boosts (bee pollen, chia seeds, etc.), and dry add-ons (goji berries, cacao nibs, etc.).

If you go for one of their readymade bowls, I’d recommend the Chewy bowl, the perfect peanut-buttery acai bowl for PB lovers.

Ubatuba Acai serves some of the most beautiful acai bowls in Santa Monica.

Their bowls start at a very reasonable $8.50 for a small (12 oz), $10.50 for a medium (16 oz), and finally, $15 (24 oz) for a large.

They don’t have any set bowls on the menu so it’s a case of crafting your dream acai bowl at Ubatuba Acai.

First, select your size, before moving onto your base.

For your base, you can mix acai with as many of the following options as you want, or none at all: chia pudding, mango, pitaya, overnight oats, matcha, and agave coconut.

Then you have an unlimited pick of toppings that the lovely servers at Ubatuba Acai will fill right to the brim of your bowl with.

Their toppings list is one of the longest I’ve ever seen, ranging from sweet treats like Nutella and Oreo to superfoods like bee pollen and goji berries.

In between, they’ve also got plenty of fruits, nuts, and seeds for you to enjoy, so why not pick loads of them?!

If it’s an Insta-worthy acai bowl you want, it’s an Insta-worthy you’ll get at Ubatuba Acai!

All their produce is lovingly and locally sourced from LA-based vendors and suppliers, so you can rest assured that you’re doing your bit for planet earth here.

If you couldn’t already tell from the photo above, their acai bowl is a thing of beauty.

Costing $13.75, it comprises pure organic acai, banana, blueberry, strawberry, and hemp granola.

However, if that isn’t enough, you can also choose to add on protein, almond butter or peanut butter, Vitamineral, greens, and/or spirulina.

I think I’d add peanut butter for some added protein and healthy fats!

Whether you keep your bowl simple or mix it up with one of their additions, you’re sure to leave Main Squeeze one happy customer.

Their acai bowl is the stuff of dreams, and I can assure you it tastes just as amazing as it looks.

It’s a simple but beautiful mix of acai with house-made gluten-free granola, mint, and berries.

I’d never tried mint in an acai bowl before I ordered this one, but trust me, it’s a great addition!

However, if that somehow wasn’t enough acai for you, you can add an extra scoop for $2.50.

This beauty is sure to be the envy of all your friends if you share it online – and luckily, their cafe is just as Instagrammable!

(Top tip: don’t leave without trying their chocolate banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream – it’s my favorite thing on their menu!)

Alternatively, you can order their acai sorbet waffle.

Yes, you heard me correctly: an acai sorbet waffle!

I’d never seen anything like this on a menu before but trust me when I say the combo works beautifully.

They top their classic Belgian waffle with fresh strawberries, bananas, a scoop of acai sorbet, and a coconut and Nutella drizzle.

However, naturally, my favorite part of the cafe is its build-your-own bowl bar.

For $11.95, you get to add two crunches, two fruits, and one sweetener to a delicious acai base.

It comprises organic acai, organic hemp granola, banana, strawberries, shaved coconut, and honey drizzle.

All of this will cost you $11.50, or you can add a scoop of organic almond or peanut butter for an extra $2.

$2 is worth it for peanut butter, surely?!

You can find Dogtown Cafe in two locations in Santa Monica (Main & Bay and Fairmont Miramar); you’re never too far away from your next acai fix with Dogtown.
