by

If your idea of a great staycation is staying in one of Cornwall’s many treehouses then you’re in luck, because Cornwall is home to some of the most beautiful treehouses in the UK.

You’ve got an impressive 11 Cornwall treehouses to choose from, and luckily for you, I’ve rounded them all up here for you.

All that’s left to do is pick your favourite and get booking!

So whether you choose a romantic treehouse with a hot tub or a cosy treehouse fit for a family, it’s time to live out that crazy childhood dream of sleeping in the trees.

Let’s go!

1. Wrinklers Wood Treehouses

Price per night: From £200 for 2 people

Location: Silverwell, nr St Agnes

Wrinklers Wood definitely wins the award for being one of the best treehouse holidays with a hot tub in Cornwall.

There are two treehouses to pick from, Chui and Simba, both of which are as beautiful as each other.

My personal favourite has to be Chui though – I just can’t get enough of its cosy interior and large windows!

Luckily for you, they both benefit from expansive decking so you can get up close and personal with Mother Nature herself.

You may even spot badgers, deer and foxes passing the forest floor below!

What guests say: “We enjoyed a lovely stay in the Chui Treehouse for our ‘minimoon’. It was fun to stay somewhere different and we loved how we felt secluded. The treehouse had a nice balance of just enough for what you need with it still feeling quite luxurious.”

2. Kosel Treehouses

Price per night: From £225 for 2 people

Location: Gweek, nr Helston

Kosel Treehouses are certainly unique – any architecture nerds will have a field day here!

Both Kalmynsi and Skapya are curved treehouses that are unlike anything I’ve ever seen before.

They impressively pack a fully-equipped bespoke kitchen, a bedroom, and a wet-room shower room into the curved space.

And outside, you’ve got a balcony to sit out in the treetops and watch the wildlife, and a firepit with BBQ in your own nearby woodland hideout.

On top of all this, you can also look forward to arriving to a welcome hamper, lovingly filled with organic milk, tea bags, locally roasted coffee, a bottle of prosecco, and some sweet and savoury snacks.

Delicious!

One of the best treehouse holidays with a hot tub in Cornwall?

I think so!

What guests say: “Wow what an incredible place. So much attention to detail, a beautiful setting to completely switch off and be amongst nature. Couldn’t have had better more helpful hosts. The treehouses had everything you’d need for a wonderful week away with thoughtful touches throughout.”

3. The Cornish Treehouse

Price per night: From £195 for 2 people

Location: Morval, nr Looe

The Cornish Treehouse is an ultra-cosy couple’s retreat set in a beautiful corner of Cornwall.

Complete with bespoke timber crafting, the treehouse is built around a proud-standing 200-year-old copper beech tree within the picturesque Morval Estate.

There’s so much to love about the treehouse, from the freestanding copper bath to the lovingly hand-crafted oak bed to the fully-fitted kitchen.

A personal favourite of mine is the projector screen with Apple TV and Sonos sound that makes movie nights even more amazing.

Talk about romantic!

You’ll enjoy a stay here no matter rain or shine, thanks to the log-burning stove in the living room and the heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Stay here and you’ll understand what all the hype is about!

What guests say: “WOW. Couldn’t recommend it enough! Firstly, the pictures do not do this place justice. It exceeded our expectations and more. There’s nothing quite like it. John was a very welcoming and lovely host. The treehouse is built and finished to an incredible standard. From handmade beds, bedside cabinets and antler lighting. There’s also a modern feel of a projector and speakers in every room.”

4. Romantic Treehouse

Price per night: From £198 for 2 people

Location: Barripper, nr Camborne

Let me introduce you to one of the most amazing treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

This luxurious treehouse comes complete with some amazing facilities, such as an outdoor hot tub, perfect for long evenings stargazing.

Outside, you’ll find a newly built BBQ lodge, where you can cosy up on the cushions after you’ve persuaded your other half to cook up a feast on the BBQ.

There’s also a large pond with a bridge across it that lights up at night, perfect for a romantic night stroll with your significant other.

It looks pretty magical if you ask me.

What guests say: “Our stay was amazing! We loved it all! I don’t know which aspect of it was most special as there were so many special things about it! The lodge itself was so cosy, the bath was amazing, the hot tub so private and the bbq area was great fun and we prepared two amazing meals there. The whole area was beautiful and most importantly, it was all for us and very private!”

5. Peaceful Country Treehouse

Price per night: From £175 for 2 people

Location: Heamoor, nr Penzance

Once a printmakers studio, this stunning country treehouse is easily one of my favourite treehouse holidays in Cornwall.

The treehouse benefits from a private, wrap-around balcony, ideal for al-fresco dining while soaking up the countryside views.

I absolutely love how light-filled the living space is.

Energising and uplifting, the treehouse really comes into its own on bright, sunny days.

Wake up to birdsong and the running stream from the garden, which is sure to start your day off on a good foot.

The treehouse includes all the essentials such as a TV, Wi-Fi, a full kitchen and even a BBQ for those long summer nights.

It’s basically a couple’s getaway dream!

What guests say: “The perfect place for a relaxing break away from it all. This is well located, close enough to explore but tucked away in an idyllic setting for dinner on the balcony & stargazing. The hosts are fabulous, friendly & welcoming, we particularly enjoyed meeting Linda and her four-legged friends, Beetroot & Trevor!”

6. Treehouse on the Lake

Price per night: From £342 for 4 people

Location: Praze-An-Beeble, nr St Ives

Treehouse on the Lake is by far one of the most luxurious of these Cornwall treehouses.

It’s basically an interior designer’s dream come true!

But don’t just hide away in your treehouse though as you have 97 acres of landscaped grounds to roam, as well as a cafe bar to eat at, a lake to go rowing on, and an indoor pool and spa to relax in.

Situated in the heart of Clowance resort, nestled in woodlands high above the forest floor, you’ll feel like you’ve completely escaped reality here.

Ideal for two couples or a group of friends who fancy a luxurious getaway together, both of the two beautifully designed bedrooms offer enchanting views over the nearby woodland.

The spacious open-plan living area is just as wonderful, and I cannot get enough of the wraparound timber terrace with its gorgeous outdoor copper bathtub.

The question isn’t ‘Should I book a stay here?’ but more ‘Can I get first dibs on the outdoor bathtub?’.

What guests say: “To start with, any pictures on the website really don’t do justice, it is just out of his world. It seems to have been built with one thing in mind, total luxury! The whole place seems brand new and we are convinced we must be the first guests that have stayed here, it is immaculately presented. Clowance Estate has obviously sunk a fair investment in the building and they have got it 100% correct.”

7. Deer Park Treehouses

golden-oak-treehouse-at-forest-holidays-cornwall-treehouses

Price per night: From £98 for 4 people and £138 for 6 people

Location: Herodsfoot, nr Looe

If you’re looking for one of the best treehouse holidays with a hot tub in Cornwall for families, then you’ve found it in Deer Park Treehouses.

There are four treehouses to choose from which sleep anywhere from four to six people.

They’re all equally beautiful but my personal favourite has to be Golden Oak Waterside because who doesn’t love lake views? I know I certainly do!

However, no matter which treehouse you choose, you’ll be treated to a private hot tub, expansive decking, amazing views and outstanding interiors.

Forest Holidays are renowned for their great quality so what else would you expect, really?

And as you can imagine from a Forest Holidays break, your surroundings are spectacular, with ample walking and bike trails for you to embark on.

The beautiful scenery is joined by a bar, restaurant and shop on-site, a personal chef you can hire, spa treatments, and a play area.

What more could you want?

What guests say: “OMG – the treehouse is beautiful and again very clean and tidy with a lovely view over the pond. Our party couldn’t wait to unpack and get in the hot tub – all very relaxing! The location is stunning with beautiful countryside and lots of wildlife – plenty of walks to explore and the peace and quiet is great.”

8. Atlantic Treehouse

atlantic-treehouse-at-atlantic-surf-pods-cornwall-treehouses

Price per night: From £92 for 2 people

Location: Stratton, nr Bude

Atlantic Treehouse is easily one of my favourite Cornwall treehouses because it’s just so unbelievably unique.

I mean, this is the kind of treehouse you dream of when you’re a little kid – it’s seriously in the skies!

Putting the ‘tree’ in treehouse, Atlantic Treehouse is a beautifully crafted bolt-hole perched six metres up in the tree.

Thanks to its height, the treehouse benefits from amazing views of Widemouth Bay so beach bums, this one’s for you!

Inside the surprisingly spacious treehouse, you’ll find a double bed, kettle, combi microwave, electric cool box and Dyson heating.

However, the real highlight of the space is the balcony with outdoor seating.

I couldn’t think of anywhere more picturesque to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening while watching the sun go down.

And don’t worry – just walk down the staircase to find your BBQ, private bathroom, and secret outdoor heated shower.

How dreamy!

What guests say: “The treehouse far exceeded our expectations! It was so cosy quirky and an overall fantastic experience that you must try for yourselves! The evenings were spent on our very own balcony with stunning views and the odd glass or two of wine! I highly recommend this experience… particularly if you’re looking to make memories that will last way longer than another faceless hotel room!”

9. The Hyde Treehouse

hidden-boutique-treehouse-with-decking-in-woodland

Price per night: From £172 for 2 people

Location: Mount Hawke, nr St Agnes

The Hyde Treehouse is the perfect place to hide away from the world.

Hide? Get it? I’ll see myself out…

This simple yet beautiful treehouse has relaxation written all over it, from the hammocks and dining area outside to the cosy furnishings inside.

The treehouse comprises a comfy king-size bed, gorgeous shower room, fully equipped kitchen with a Nespresso coffee machine, Wi-Fi, TV, Bose sound system, Heston Blumenthal BBQ, bathrobes, and a private garden.

Basically everything you could want from a treehouse stay in Cornwall, right?

Oh, and they also throw in a welcoming Cornish tea of scones and clotted cream. Delicious!

What guests say: “The Hyde is hands down the loveliest Airbnb we’ve stayed in. It was so peaceful; the perfect retreat after a day outside surfing and exploring. Absolutely have a surfing lesson at Tris Surf Shop: having never surfed before we managed to actually stand up! (Plus there were welcome scones: glorious). The pictures do not do this safe haven justice!”

10. Lost Meadow Treepod

lost-meadow-treepod-cornwall-treehouses

Price per night: From £105 for 2 people

Location: Mount, nr Bodmin

Lost Meadow Treepod isn’t just your average treehouse.

It’s not so much a house as it is a pod (I mean, it’s in the name, isn’t it?) but it’s suspended in the trees, so I definitely think it deserves its place on this list of Cornwall treehouses.

Staying here means literally living in the forest for a few days.

As you can expect, the treepod is simple, comprising two single beds, a wood-burner, and a yacht-style sink with running water.

Nearby you’ll also find a covered cooking area, and a toilet/shower block a five-minute walk away.

If you want a digital detox and to get back to nature, this is the perfect place to do it!

What guests say: “Absolutely wonderful! The pictures do not do the Treepod or the surrounding woodland enough justice, and cannot capture the feel of the place either. It was wonderfully peaceful and felt incredibly remote but with enough luxuries for it to feel very relaxing (wonderful clean shower block and all the camping necessities one could think of). Jon and Nikki were wonderful hosts and added to the whole experience.”

11. The Trengilly Wartha Inn Treetop Safari Tents

trengilly-treetop-safari-tent-on-stilts

Price per night: From £130 for 4 people

Location: Nancenoy, nr Falmouth

Similar to my last recommendation, The Trengilly Wartha Inn Treetop Safari Tents are more safari tents than treehouses but again, they’re too good to miss off this list of Cornwall treehouses!

Suspended in the air on stilts and surrounded by trees, these safari tents are great for those who want to get a little closer to nature, and fancy trying their hand at glamping, rather than staying in a modern holiday home.

However, don’t fret because these safari tents certainly don’t skimp on luxury!

The fully-furnished tents benefit from everything you’d expect from a holiday home, including a double bedroom, a bunk-bed room, a log fire, kitchen, dining table, and a comfy sofa.

You also have a modern private bathroom all to yourself, just 20 yards from your tent.

Moreover, you’ve additionally got your own private balcony, BBQ and fire pit so you can watch the sun go down in style – especially if you treat yourselves to one of their delicious BBQ packs.

Camping doesn’t get much more luxurious than this!

What guests say: “If you’re looking for some quiet quality time in a peaceful setting with fabulous views, then this has to be the place to go! The safari tent was very spacious and spotlessly clean, it had everything that you would require for a few days away from the busy hustle and bustle of day to day life. The large deck had magnificent views of the valley and the outside space with fire pit was a tremendous place to bbq in the evening.”
