by

If your perfect weekend away includes a hot tub and some beautiful Scottish scenery, you’ve definitely come to the right place.

I’m a sucker for unusual romantic weekend breaks in the UK and luckily, Scotland boasts some of the best of the best!

From bothys and yurts to safari tents and airstreams, here are 11 amazing glamping holidays with a hot tub in Scotland.

Glamping with a Hot Tub in Scotland

1. The Sheep Shed Bothy in Aberdeenshire

Price per night: From £120 a night for 2 people

This traditional, rustic bothy is set in the most beautiful barley fields in rural Scotland. Talk about getting off-grid!

Step inside and you will discover a comfy kingsize bed set on a mezzanine level with a star-gazing window perfect for romantic evenings in.

On the lower level, there is a large wood-fired range cooker that will keep you toasty even during the coldest Scottish winters.

The range also heats the hot water for the twin water-trough bath.

However, if you prefer your baths outdoors, why not venture out to the gorgeous wood-fired hot tub instead?

Made with even more stargazing in mind, it is the perfect setting to sit back and relax with a glass in hand.

Light the log burner on the deck and in just a couple of hours the hot tub will be ready for you to soak to your heart’s content!

2. Juniper Horsebox in Perth and Kinross

Price per night: From £150 a night for 2 adults and 2 children under 10

This cosy little cabin, converted from a Leyland horse lorry, is full of charm and character.

Sheltered amidst Scot Pines, you will feel completely immersed in nature here.

From the comfy queen size bed to the stunning rolltop bath, Juniper provides the perfect opportunity to switch off.

It even comes equipped with a proper flushing en-suite loo and a kitchenette, making your stay nothing short of comfortable.

Outside you will find a wood-fired hot tub for a relaxing dip with some outstanding views.

But that’s not the only thing you’ll discover outside! There is also a seating area, BBQ, tree swing, picnic table and hammock.

3. Culbin Edge Cabin in Moray

Price per night: From £105 a night for 4 people

This modern eco-cabin is the perfect setting for a relaxing weekend break.

Boasting a contemporary, open-plan living space with beautiful oak floors, Culbin Edge is bright, spacious and welcoming.

More of a holiday home than a glamping site, the cabin has everything you could ask for and more. There’s even an induction hob, oven, fridge and microwave.

But it doesn’t stop there! The best thing about this cabin is its location!

With beaches and mountains on its doorstep, it has something to suit every taste.

You can reach the sea in a couple of hours by following a beautiful wooded trail.

However, if you’d rather just relax, sit back in the wood-fired cedar hot tub instead, which you can use an unlimited number of times throughout your trip.

4. The Saw Mill Airstream in Aberdeenshire

Price per night: From £165 a night for 2 people

This vintage airstream is certainly one of the more unique glamping holidays with a hot tub in Scotland.

The ultimate outdoor retreat, The Saw Mill is set within the most picturesque small pine wood.

At night you will sleep in the giant bed in the fully refurbished 1955 Airstream Safari caravan.

And by day you can relax in the separate lovingly-restored 1800s wooden building which serves as your kitchen, dining and sitting room!

For something a little different to your average hot tub, soak in the outdoor Swedish wood-fired bath, taking in the gentle sounds of the nearby stream.

There’s also a wonderful outdoor shower hidden away in the wood! This place really is all sorts of magic.

5. Zenaya in Scottish Borders

Price per night: From £105 a night for 2 people

Home to a whole host of quirky caravans, Roulette Retreat is one of the best glamping sites in Scotland.

However, it’s only Zenaya and Gitana who have their very own eco hot tubs.

Tucked away in the far corner of the meadow, Zenaya is one of the more peaceful and private of the caravans.

The caravan is more spacious than you may first think! Inside there’s an Oriental daybed, double bedroom with queen size carved roulette bed, kitchen area as well as a shower and toilet.

Hidden alongside the caravan is your private eco hot tub.

There’s also a deck outside for alfresco dining too, perfect for a pre-tub aperitif. Perfect evening, if you ask me.

6. The Otter Yurt in Castle Douglas

Price per night: From £104 a night for 2 people

The Otter Yurt is definitely one of my favourite glamping holidays with a hot tub in Scotland! Anticipate complete privacy in complete luxury.

This off-grid holiday home is set on a lake on its own private decking within the most picturesque surroundings.

Filled with stylish bespoke furniture, the interior is just as gorgeous as the exterior.

Inside you’ll find a rain shower and a fully-fitted kitchen, powered by solar panels and a wood-burning stove.

Oh and some freshly baked brownies waiting for you on arrival!

Slip into your luxurious robe, lovingly provided by your hosts, and head out to the outdoor hot tub.

And if you fancy getting out on the water, there’s also a kayak included with your rental!

So whether you fancy a relaxing break or an exciting adventure, there’s something for everyone here.

Price per night: From £100 a night for 2 people

Set in the beautiful Airhouse Farm, this little pod is the perfect all-year-round glamping getaway.

Available in either a twin or double bed layout, you can go away with your partner, a friend or a family member!

By day the bed turns into a great space to relax with bench seats and a small table. Inside you will find a whole host of amenities including underfloor heating, mood lighting, a TV, a sound system, a small fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and a toaster.

The pod is accompanied by a hot tub with lounger, 31 jets and 12 LED lights.

There is also a private BBQ hut for cooking in all weathers, so you can enjoy the facilities even if it’s raining in typical British fashion.

Filled with fairy lights and board games, the BBQ hut makes for a great evening in!

8. Riverbeds Lodge in Glencoe

Price per night: From £292.50 a night for 2 people

A little more on the pricier end of the spectrum, these woodland lodges look like they were lifted straight out of Pinterest. They are just so gorgeous!

These twelve square meter lodges house a bedroom, kitchenette, en-suite shower room and lounge, all rolled into one.

And outside your river-side home sits a bubbling hot tub, awaiting your arrival.

However, what sets Riverbeds apart from other glamping holidays is their daily housekeeping service that makes it feel more like a hotel than a glamping site!

Each lodge is located right at the entrance to the great Glencoe Valley.

With views that are to die for and a whole lot of history on your doorstep, there’s no chance of getting bored here.

Within the estate, you’ll also find a cafe and a plethora of activities including everything from archery to segways.

9. Marthrown of Mabie Yurt in Dumfries and Galloway

Price per night: From £50 a night for 2 people

Whether you fancy heading out on a serene forest walk for a romantic stroll or straight onto the mountain bike trail, outdoor enthusiasts will love Marthrown of Mabie.

Based in the heart of Mabie Forest on the beautiful Solway coast, ‘picturesque’ is the best way to describe this place.

This yurt probably provides the most rustic back-to-nature experience of all of these glamping holidays.

And that is reflected in the price! But it still has a wood-burning stove at its centre, guaranteeing you a cosy night in.

Each yurt is tucked away within a secluded area with a BBQ and picnic table and is only a stone’s throw from a hot tub and sauna for you to use throughout your stay.

10. Poachers Hut in Stirlingshire

Price per night: From £156 a night for 2 people

Poachers Hut is all about providing those extra special touches.

On arrival, you will find a gorgeous welcome hamper including fresh eggs from their hens and some homemade produce.

And that’s not even to mention the generous selection of tea, coffee, marshmallows and popcorn hidden away in the cupboards too!

The shepherd’s hut has mains water and electricity so you definitely don’t have to skimp on your home comforts here.

As for outside, the hot tub is always ready for you to hop in at any time so sit back, relax and soak up the views.

Set in big sky country and with no noise or light pollution, I couldn’t think of anywhere better to wind down and stargaze!

11. Chesters Safari Tents in Scottish Borders

Price per night: From £85 a night for 6 people

Last but definitely by no means least, we have Chesters safari tents.

Sleeping up to six people, these safari tents are super spacious, making them ideal for families and friends.

The estate Chesters is housed in is located only an hour and a half drive away from both Edinburgh and Newcastle, and yet you feel totally off-grid and immersed in nature here.

I mean the cattle, roe deer, pheasants, partridges, ospreys and buzzards that roam and fly about the estate may be somewhat to thank for that.

Each tent comes complete with its own private wood-fired hot tub, so you can enjoy long evenings in the tub while admiring the views. You just may have to fight for who gets first dibs!

So which of these glamping holidays with a hot tub in Scotland would you most like to stay at? I know that I’d more than happily stay at any of them!
