by

Ever wanted to fulfil that crazy childhood dream of staying in a treehouse?

Well now, thanks to the ever-growing world of glamping, you can!

Whether you prefer your treehouses a little more rustic, or more like a luxurious five-star hotel in the trees, here are 42 amazing treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

Just promise me you’ll take me with you, yeah?

1. The Woodman’s Treehouse

Price per night: From £495 for 2 people

Location: Chard, Dorset

The Woodman’s Treehouse is, in my humble opinion, one of the best treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

Set high up in the branches of a veteran oak, this treehouse marries only the finest adult luxuries with a world of childhood curiosity.

I don’t know where to start with this place.

So I’ll just list all the features it has: a slide, rope bridge, hammock, outdoor shower, hot tub and sauna, a free-standing copper bath, a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ, and a rotating fireplace.

Not too shabby, huh?

What guests say: “Where to begin!? We chose the Woodsman’s Treehouse as a special place to spend our Honeymoon and we were absolutely delighted that we did! What a magical setting, impeccable design and attention to detail, and perfect seclusion!”

2. Dazzle Treehouse

Price per night: From £495 for 2 people

Location: Chard, Dorset

If The Woodman’s Treehouse has caught your eye but it’s booked out on the dates you want to visit, why not consider one of their other treehouses: Dazzle Treehouse or Pinwheel Treehouse?

Constructed in 2021, both treehouses benefit from all the same amazing facilities as their predecessor.

We’re talking a hot tub, king-size bed, wood-burning stove, Nespresso machine, and all sorts of other luxuries.

Dazzle even has a cargo net day bed that I just can’t get enough of!

The ship theme continues with the gangplank walkway, rooftop funnels, and many other surprises that you’ll just have to wait to discover for yourself.

I promise the wait is worth it…

What guests say: It was on my bucket list to stay in a tree house and I was not disappointed! Such a lovely peaceful place. Absolutely perfect in every way. We spent time on the deck reading and relaxing on the hammock and the beanbag. The outside bath was lovely and there was an abundance of hot water.”

3. Sleepy Owl

bedroom-of-hideout-treehouse-at-sleepy-owl-devon

Price per night: From £400 for 2 adults and 2 children

Location: Hartland, Devon

Tucked away in a hidden valley in Hartland, Sleepy Owl is home to two treehouses: Nest and Hideout.

Both treehouses are immaculately finished and beautifully designed with so many incredible surprises inside.

From the UK’s first moving indoor-outdoor bathtub to gorgeous wood-fired hot tubs, these treehouses have it all.

Add onto that super king-size beds, huge movie projectors, and Morso pizza ovens, and you’ll be entertained for hours.

The treehouses are perfect for couples but they also have a second bedroom which sleeps two kids, and space for two dogs if you want to bring the family along!

What guests say: “Would like to give more than 5 stars but there isn’t that option. Fantastic, peaceful, tranquil. Loved every minute of being there and we were sad to have to leave. The bed was like sleeping in a giant marshmallow. My fiance absolutely loved the copper bath being pushed out on the evening. We will DEFINITELY be booking again.”

Price per night: From £198 for 2 people

This treehouse may look like it belongs on the beach but you’ll actually find Oaklands Treehouse hidden away in the heart of Mid Wales.

High up in the trees, lovingly made with couples in mind, this treehouse really is the perfect “get away from it all” retreat.

The luxuriously modern interiors make you feel like you’re staying in a five-star hotel rather than a treehouse.

However, step outside and you’ll feel completely immersed in nature as a huge oak tree is incorporated into the decking balcony area with a wood-fired hot tub.

What guests say: “Most beautiful place with stunning views. Little extras of the welcome basket and hot tub heated for arrival were both a nice touch. Also ordered a grazing box from locals Fig and Folk Graze and a cream tea from Berry and Stone. This will also be a lifetime memory for us, as my partner proposed on the balcony looking over the Welsh countryside.”

5. Bredon Hill Treehouses

Price per night: From £245 for 4 people

Either way, a stay at Bredon Hill Treehouses means guaranteed bliss.

However, if you begin to get itchy feet, jump onboard the pair of shopper type bikes readily available with the treehouse and head into the countrysides or to the nearest country pub.

One of the best treehouses in the Cotswolds? I think so.

What guests say: “We had the most relaxing weekend. The treehouse is stunning, attention to detail is fantastic, and it really was the most comfortable chilled out weekend we’ve ever had. The manor house grounds are beautiful and it’s really hard to want to leave your bed in the morning or the hot tub later on with the views that you have.

Don’t worry, Wolf Wood has got you covered!

What guests say: “I had a lovely stay at the Lookout Treehouse! The treehouse itself was so nicely built and beautifully decorated inside. While your first instinct may be to jump into the wood-fired hot tub (and who could blame you?), take a second to crack into the hamper of local, seasonal produce that welcomes you to your home away from home.

Whether you decide to throw on your walking boots or simply relax, you’ll love your time at Netherby.

What guests say: “What an amazing house – beautiful location, lovely facilities and attention to detail. Serena was very attentive, made sure we had everything we needed. What guests say: “To say it was absolutely glorious just doesn’t do it justice. From the moment we turned up, we felt ‘at home’ (but in perfect luxury). We dived into the hot tub, I soaked in the enormous gold stand-alone bath, and then utterly relaxed in the best hammock in the world!”

What guests say: “We’re just heading home from a week staying in The Den – the family treehouse. I nearly hid in the hot tub so I wouldn’t have to leave – it’s been the most perfect week. The Den has everything you need and was such a beautiful place to spend time. The views are spectacular.”

Wrinklers Wood definitely wins an award for being home to some of my favourite treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

There are two treehouses to pick from, Chui and Simba, both of which are as beautiful as each other.

My personal favourite has to be Chui though – I just can’t get enough of its cosy interior and large windows!

Luckily for you, they both benefit from expansive decking so you can get up close and personal with Mother Nature herself.

You may even spot badgers, deer and foxes passing the forest floor below!

What guests say: “We enjoyed a lovely stay in the Chui Treehouse for our ‘minimoon’. It was fun to stay somewhere different and we loved how we felt secluded. The treehouse had a nice balance of just enough for what you need with it still feeling quite luxurious.”

This is one of the best treehouses in Somerset, for sure!

What guests say: “First and foremost, The Bower Treehouse is where we just got engaged, so we will always treasure our stay there! It was full of thoughtful high-quality touches – good coffee, natural skincare, robes, fresh milk in the fridge. Felt like every need had been anticipated!”

Oakdown Treehouse is the type of place I’d like to leave my phone at the door and settle down for a few days for all-important rest, good books and even better hot tub soaks.

The interior is reminiscent of a five-star hotel while the decking allows you to reconnect with nature.

The best of both worlds, right?

From the Egyptian cotton-clad king-size bed to the leather armchairs nestled in front of the log burner to the underfloor heating and huge skylight in the bathroom, you definitely won’t feel bad about spending time inside here!

Whether rain or shine, a stay here is a guaranteed good time.

What guests say: “The Oakdown Treehouse is a slice of paradise in Wiltshire. A decadent, luxurious, stay that made me consider moving into my own treehouse. You’d be forgiven for mistaking King Arthur’s Willow Treehouse for a castle.

The treehouse benefits from three luxury bedrooms oozing in style (including one bedroom with a four-poster bed), a whirlpool bath, a hot tub, a rainfall shower, and so many other luxurious amenities.

If it’s fit for a king, it’s fit for us!

What guests say: “We spent just a few nights in The Treehouse House which was certainly 5 star. Spotless, well equipped and everything was tasteful and beautifully presented. The beds were very comfortable. So relaxing to spend time away from WiFi and TV enjoying the surroundings and views.”

So you can enjoy your stay rest assured that you’re doing your bit for the planet.

What guests say: “Every detail has been so well thought out and it looks even better in real life than what it does in the pictures. We relaxed in the hot tub with some fizz, made homemade pizzas in the wood-fired pizza oven, went and sat round the fire pit one night toasting marshmallows!”

Despite all this luxury, the treehouse still feels rustic and authentic.

Just the way we like it!

What guests say: “There’s nothing about this place I could fault. On entering the treehouse the first thing that hit me was the gorgeous smell from the diffusers, the house was lit with candles, tea lights creating a romantic setting. Dalnoid is home to two treehouses, The Scots Pine and The Silver Birch.

Out of any of the other treehouses with hot tubs in the UK, these are the ones that feel most like modern holiday homes, rather than treehouses.

Setting a new standard in self-catering accommodation, the treehouses feel more akin to luxury hotel suites, with their spacious lounge areas, fully-equipped kitchens and luxurious bathrooms.

On top of this, you can also expect a super-king size bed below a glass pyramid skylight, and a wood-burning stove with a free supply of logs.

With beautiful river and mountain views and that much-sought-after hot tub, Dalnoid is home to some of the most beautiful treehouses in Scotland.

What guests say: “Every bit of our stay was perfect down to the little details. The hot tub and wood-burning fire were our favourite parts. The treehouse is so unique and quirky! It was absolute bliss to be secluded sitting in a dreamy hot tub with beautiful views of the glens with a glass of champagne and the whole place to ourselves.”

31. The Yurt Retreat Birdhouse

Price per night: From £247 for 2 people

Location: Fordscroft, Somerset

The Yurt Retreat Birdhouse is easily one of the most unique treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

Standing proud on its tree trunk stilts, the treehouse is clad in local Cedar.

A wide staircase winds between the trees to lead you up to your ample decking where you’ll find a gorgeous wood-fired hot tub.

Inside, the treehouse is just as dreamy.

From the handmade bed to the rain-head shower, they certainly haven’t skimped on luxurious touches here.

What guests say: “We stayed in the Birdhouse, a beautiful eco treehouse, slept so well at night, lovely, warm and cosy, everything has been thought of inside this treehouse (even lactose-free milk) we enjoyed the marshmallows in the evening sitting by the fire, at night there are pretty lights that light up the treehouse and forest outside. So romantic.”

32. Squirrel Run Treehouse

Price per night: From £160 for 2 people

Location: Chorleywood, Hertfordshire

You’d be correct in thinking that Squirrel Run Treehouse looks like a little slice of paradise.

One of the best treehouse stays in the UK, Squirrel Run stands five metres above the ground and is reached by a seven-metre suspension bridge.

The stuff of childhood dreams, right?

From its balcony and panoramic window, you can enjoy beautiful views over the Chess Valley.

So whether you’re soaking in the hot tub, showering under the outdoor balcony shower, or cosied up in your king-size bed, you’ll feel completely immersed in nature.

And when you’ve got a welcome breakfast hamper or a welcome bottle of Prosecco awaiting your arrival, you’re sorted for the whole weekend!

What guests say: “The views were lovely and the hot tub was bigger than the pictures led us to believe. We both fit into it comfortably side by side to admire the views with a glass of wine each night. The place has a TV with DVD player (and a selection of DVDs), reading material, microwave, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits, cutlery and plates and bowls etc.”

33. Orchard Rooms Treehouse

Price per night: From £150 for 2 people

Location: Catcott, Somerset

One of my favourite UK holiday rentals, Orchard Rooms Treehouse is modern, romantic, and, well, pretty much perfect.

If it’s luxury and relaxation that you’re after, you’ll get it here!

There are so many different places to unwind here, from the hammock and the firepit to the hot tub and the balcony.

Plus, there’s even an outdoor shower for those feeling a little more adventurous too!

And if the weather’s not on your side, cosy up in the living area and get ready to play board and card games.

What guests say: “We had everything we needed for our stay, including a lovely little goodies hamper! We spent blissful mornings on the balcony with coffee in hand watching the birds, and the evenings relaxing in the hot tub with a glass of something, enjoying the peace and quiet. Every thought has been put into this lovely little stay.”

34. Beacon Hill Treehouse

Price per night: From £215 for 2 people

Location: Morpeth, Northumberland

If you want luxury, luxury is exactly what you’ll find at Beacon Hill Treehouse, one of the best treehouses in Northumberland.

One of the best treehouse hotels in the UK, Beacon Hill delivers on practically everything.

Breathtaking views 50 miles to the South? It’s got ’em!

Exquisite amenities? Those too!

Even a spa on-site? Yep, that’s right!

With a hot tub, swimming pool, gym, and a wide range of treatments available, you’ll feel completely rejuvenated after a stay here.

Take a look at more photos of the treehouse and try to resist booking a stay here!

I’m certain you won’t be able to.

What guests say: “Sitting in the beautiful 40-acre beech wood, the views are amazing and the design of the Treehouse makes the absolute best of them. The electric curtains in the bedroom are a great addition for enjoying the views and you can see the sea, as well as the beautiful countryside! We saw deer passing by early in the morning.”

35. Romantic Treehouse

Price per night: From £198 for 2 people

Location: Barripper, Cornwall

This luxurious treehouse comes complete with some amazing facilities, such as an outdoor hot tub, perfect for long evenings stargazing.

Outside, you’ll find a newly built BBQ lodge, where you can cosy up on the cushions after you’ve persuaded your other half to cook up a feast on the BBQ.

There’s also a large pond with a bridge across it that lights up at night, perfect for a romantic night stroll with your significant other.

As you can see, it’s one of my favourite Cornwall treehouses for good reason.

What guests say: “Our stay was amazing! We loved it all! I don’t know which aspect of it was most special as there were so many special things about it! The lodge itself was so cosy, the bath was amazing, the hot tub so private and the bbq area was great fun and we prepared two amazing meals there. The whole area was beautiful and most importantly, it was all for us and very private!”

36. The Enchanted Faraway Tree

Price per night: From £185 for 2 people

Location: Honey Hill, Kent

My blog (Faraway Lucy) was named after the Enchanted Faraway Tree book series, so I’m kind of obliged to book a stay in The Enchanted Faraway Tree.

I mean, I can’t complain when it’s this cosy.

Just look at that skylight! Think of the stargazing opportunities!

This treehouse is basically romance at its finest, not least because it also benefits from a wood-fired hot tub that you and your loved one can soak in to your heart’s content.

And after you’ve gone for a dip, you can head to the twin outdoor hot water shower to wash yourself off.

What guests say: “There are no words to describe how beautiful the Enchanted Faraway Tree is! It surpassed expectations! Left for us was a lovely little welcome bag with lots of lovely treats and they even took the time to put up balloons and a lovely 30th decoration, plus the Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch! The place was immaculate!”

37. Alton Towers Treehouses

Fancy combining your UK treehouse holiday with some rollercoasters?

Then look no further than Alton Towers Treehouses.

The perfect place for families or larger groups to get away, each Enchanted Village Treehouse sleeps up to eight people.

Included in your stay is a full English breakfast buffet, fantastic evening entertainment, a nine-hole round of Extraordinary Golf, VIP parking, and room service.

Each treehouse also houses four bedrooms, a 50” TV and games console, private decking with a hot tub, and a fully equipped kitchen (though no need to cook if you fancy a takeaway!).

This is a stay you won’t forget anytime soon!

What guests say: “Five of us enjoyed a fantastic time in the Silver Birch Treehouse! The hot tub was amazing and a nice treat to chill out in after a day in the park! We ordered room service to the treehouse and it was very quick and the service and food were excellent.”

38. Silva Treehouse

Price per night: From £345 for 6 people

Location: Penrith, Carlisle

If you’re planning a glamping holiday with a hot tub in the North West, Silva Treehouse will be right up your street.

It might be on the more expensive side, but I promise this large holiday home is worth every penny. (As are the sunsets!)

This multi-level treehouse houses everything from king-size beds to a mountain-view hot tub to a games room reached by a slide.

And all these luxuries are accompanied by ridiculously beautiful interiors that I just can’t get enough of!

What guests say: “Silva Treehouse is a magnificent home-grown masterpiece! It’s big, beautiful and full of all the charm. Grant and Lucy’s hard work has made it what it is; expert craftmanship, fun and playful features and those kinds of aspirational interiors you will want to recreate at home.”

39. Undercover Treehouse

Price per night: From £84 for 2 people

Location: Colgate, Sussex

If treehouses aren’t so much your thing and you’d rather get closer to nature, then consider booking a stay in the Undercover Treehouse.

I’ve never seen anything quite like it before so it definitely wins bonus points for being totally unique!

It’s a tent, in a tree, with a double bed. I mean, need I say anymore?

Overlooking a stream, the outdoor treetop decking is an absolute dream.

I’m already daydreaming about eating breakfast alfresco or drinking a glass of wine at sunset from it.

And if that wasn’t enough, you’ve also got a Swedish hot tub to relax in!

What guests say: “Sam is such an amazing host, he brought us pastries both of the mornings, helped us get some drinks and even gave us a ride to the train station! A perfect getaway as nothing can beat a Swedish hot tub and shower surrounded by greens and fresh air! The treehouse is very cosy and warm with the stove even in November.”

40. Templar Treehouse

templar-treehouse-with-slide-and-hot-tub

Price per night: From £170 for 4 people

Location: Narberth. Pembrokeshire

Templar Treehouse is one of the best treehouse stays in the UK for families.

With a slide and a hot tub, this treehouse is sure to impress both the kids and adults alike.

However, the outdoor fun doesn’t stop there.

The treehouse is situated in its own private mill garden with a pond and rowing boat, a fire pit for cosy evenings toasting marshmallows, a kitchen area, and a swinging sofa and loungers for stargazing.

And inside, the story is much the same!

The interior is ridiculously cosy and well-designed, but my favourite thing about it has to be that everything was made from recycled and re-used treasures.

What guests say: “Made my dreams of living in the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse a reality! Had a wonderful time with my two kids (13 and 14) who spent hours on the rope swing and the boat. We were in awe of the various inventions in the treehouse and hideaways in the trees around the pond. Was so lovely to have our own gorgeous green space which was beautiful and natural. So close to the beach and shops but felt like you were out in the middle of a forest.”

41. Tree Top Escape Treehouse

Last but by no means least, Tree Top Escape Treehouse is easily one of the most luxurious treehouse holidays with a hot tub in the UK.

(I mean the price tag speaks volumes!)

Best saved for a very special occasion, it’s no surprise that many brides and grooms flock to Tree Top Escape to seal the deal.

It’s one of the best places to honeymoon in the UK, that’s for sure!

Offering complete privacy and tranquillity, the treehouse not only benefits from incredible views but also all sorts of luxuries.

Think a 55” 4k TV, a Sonos surround sound system, a hot tub, an Italian designer kitchen, a standalone copper bath, a super king-size handmade bed, and so much more…

This is pretty much the dream, right?
