10. Greene’s Pond Treehouse

exterior-of-greenes-pond-treehouse-surrounded-by-trees

Price per night: From $130 for 8 people

Situated by the river next to a 147-acre private fishing pond, Greene’s Pond Treehouse is the perfect place to immerse yourselves in nature.

Take your pick from their fleet of kayaks and canoes and get ready to hit the water!

That’s where I’d spent the majority of my time anyway…

In terms of accommodation, your main treehouse is just for sleeping and relaxing on the terrace, whereas the separate Pond House has a stove, oven, microwave, and lounging area.

They ask guests to bring their own linens and towels, so this is definitely one of the more back-to-basic treehouse rentals in NC, but when the surroundings are this good, you won’t be complaining!

What guests say: “We had the best time! We have three small children and they can’t wait to go back to “the treehouse”. We fished every morning and evening from the dock and the kids caught brim and my husband caught catfish. He also caught his first striped bass! We went walking along the trails and saw male turkeys strutting around. The kids loved that.”

11. Treehouse on the Farm Jefferson

exterior-of-treehouse-on-the-farm-treehouse-rentals-nc

Treehouse on the Farm is one of the most popular treehouse rentals in NC, and it doesn’t come as much of a surprise when it looks this good!

The interior is an eclectic and unique amalgamation of furniture finds. It really is a piece of art and a true labor of love.

I can’t decide where I’d want to spend most of my time: on the swinging seats on the decking, on the rocking chair by the wood burner, or soaking in the roll-top bath.

But I can guarantee that wherever you choose to relax, you’ll enjoy every second of it!

However, don’t spend all your time indoors as the treehouse is set within 72 acres of beautiful farmland.

It’s time to explore!

What guests say: “It was absolutely wonderful. Lisa brought us fresh eggs from the farm the day we arrived. We saw deer, heard the wind, and walked for an absolutely breathtaking view of the mountains. The treehouse was filled with beautiful art that was created and painted by Steve and we loved the view from every window and door!”

I mean that’s a TREEHOUSE if I’ve ever seen one!

Elevated fifty feet in the air and accessed by a spiral staircase, this is the stuff of childhood fantasy.

This Asheville treehouse benefits from some of the best views of any of these treehouse rentals in NC that are best enjoyed from the amazing deck.

Bring your morning coffee or evening wine along with you to soak up these incredible views.

The site is off-grid with no electricity but I fully believe that this only makes it better!

What guests say: “This treehouse is an amazing off-grid experience unlike any other! We absolutely loved being high in the trees in the mountains! The sunsets, sunrises, and waking up above the clouds were truly a surreal experience! The treehouse was spotless, the bed was comfy and the land was beautiful.”

And there’s even a ping pong table!

Bring on the celebrations.
