2. Fen Meadows Glamping

Price per night: From £124 for 4 guests

Location: Cambridge

Fen Meadows Glamping has been voted as one of the best UK glamping stays countless times, so you won’t want to miss this.

It’s a family-run luxury glamping site that’s set in wild fenland meadows, and it offers the perfect place to reconnect with loved ones.

You’ll leave here feeling restored and revitalised, and that’s a guarantee.

They’ve got a selection of cabins and luxury bell tents, each of which is kitted out with everything you’ll need for a calm and comfortable stay.

The majority of the accommodation comes with its very own private wood-fired hot tub, which will be lit and ready for use when you arrive.

There’s no better way to unwind than in a hot tub under the starry night sky!

What guests say: “The bell tent was absolutely fantastic, attention to detail and finishing touches were excellent. Comfy bed, with impressively white bedding, considering the fact it’s a campsite!!! Plenty of free space on the site, so it feels really secluded and private. Definitely recommend staying here, we will definitely be returning.”

3. Gayton Farm

exterior-of-gypsy-caravan-at-gayton-farm-in-the-daytime

Price per night: From £75 for 2 guests or from £120 for 2 adults and 2 children

Location: Horningsea, nr Cambridge

Gayton Farm is one of my favourite places to go glamping in Cambridgeshire.

It’s located on a working farm on the edge of Cambridge, with far-reaching views over acres of beautiful open countryside.

The farm is home to the Belstead herd of Lincoln Red Cattle, as well as mixed-breed sheep, so this is a great choice for animal lovers!

You can choose between their gorgeous glamping domes as well as a lovely gypsy caravan, so there’s something for everyone here.

The gypsy caravan is a unique and quaint alternative to camping, sleeping two people, while the glamping domes sleep two children and two adults each.

For me, it’s all about the gypsy caravan, but whichever you choose, you’ll be sure to be delighted.

What guests say: “A lovely few days spent in the Glamping Dome which was fantastic. The dome was beautifully presented when we arrived and Carolyn and Robin went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and stress-free. The location is wonderful, just a short drive from the local Tesco and a short cycle from Cambridge itself. There’s and abundance of open space around the area with lots of potential for walks etc. Highly recommended.”

4. Vegan Glamping

Price per night: From £81 for 6 guests

Location: Willingham, nr Cambridge

Vegan Glamping is a luxury site that prioritises the planet.

They avoid using feather duvets, wool blankets and lamb-skin rugs, providing the perfect place for a vegan staycation.

The site is located on Hempsall Farm, and it’s a sanctuary of rescue animals that goes against the grain of traditional farming.

The safari tents are an absolute delight, sleeping up to six guests each.

Each of the tents has a private decking area, with plenty of seating to enjoy the views, as well as a wood-fired hot tub to unwind in.

One of the most relaxing ways to spend an evening is to take a dip in the hot tub with a glass of something delicious as the stars come out above you.

There’s nowhere else quite like this!

What guests say: “Stayed for three nights and enjoyed every minute! Highly recommend. The location is idyllic with stunning views of the countryside. Pippa and Stuart are exceptional hosts and made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed meeting all the animal residents who are very well cared for. Hempsall Farm is an absolute vegan gem and we will definitely book to stay again.”

5. Happenoak Treehouse

Price per night: From £270 for 2 guests

Location: Stocking Toft, Balsham

Happenoak Treehouse is one of the most special places to go glamping in Cambridge.

You can easily reach it in an hour and a half from London, but you’ll feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

This gorgeous treehouse has incredible views of fields and trees, creating a truly peaceful atmosphere.

The treehouse blends style and comfort with the great outdoors, and it’s the perfect glamping retreat.

It’s hidden away in the Cambridgeshire woods, and it’s home to its very own sauna which is the perfect place to recharge.

The space itself is open, bright and colourful, and it’s a great place to immerse yourself in nature.

Keep an eye out for the wildlife – if you’re lucky, you might even see tiny muntjac deer!

For a glamping experience that’s absolutely unrivalled, look no further than this.

What guests say: “It was beautiful, the treehouse alone is stunning and so cleverly thought out with everything you might need inside, the floor-to-ceiling windows and doors making the space feel so much bigger than it is. It’s clean and modern whilst being so tastefully done to feel rustic and that you are in the middle of nature. There were gorgeous little touches like homemade banana loaf, bread and milk and eggs in the fridge. The views across the fields are so beautiful and you could just sit in the egg chair and stare out the whole time you’re there… but then there is the BBQ, the gorgeous outdoor tub and the sauna to tear you away!”

6. The Cambridge Glamping Co.

Price per night: From £140 for 2 adults and 2 children

Location: Huntingdon

The Cambridge Glamping Co. is one of my favourite spots to go glamping in Cambridge.

They’ve got a selection of luxury bell tents set in 20 acres of parkland, right in the heart of the beautiful Cambridgeshire countryside.

The site sits on the grounds of a Grade II-listed Georgian mansion which was the residence of Sir Oliver Cromwell for 21 years, so it’s a bit of history!

You can choose between tents with a private hot tub or tents that only have use of the communal hot tub, but either way, you’ll be sure to have a dreamy stay.

A few of their tents are also dog-friendly, so the whole family can come along here!

For a real treat, book into the adults-only VIP tent with a private tub.

That’s sure to make for a memorable stay!

What guests say: “Had an amazing weekend away here for my friend’s hen do – the host couldn’t do enough for us and we instantly felt welcomed from the second we arrived! Super relaxing, gorgeous scenery and one of the best glamping locations I’ve had the pleasure of visiting – would highly recommend!”

Price per night: From £155 for up to 4 guests

Location: Elton, nr Peterborough

The Arc Cabin is a bright and colourful cabin on the river Nene that is sure to tick all the boxes for your dream glamping stay.

It’s got a magical feel to it, with a homespun yet contemporary vibe.

There’s something really unique about it, and the bright fabrics that are used throughout add welcome pops of colour.

This is a lovely spot for curling up with your favourite book and sipping on something delicious.

On arrival, you’ll be greeted by a selection of local treats to start your stay in the right way.

For a stay that truly immerses you in nature, there’s nowhere better than this.

The cabin overlooks fields, and Kenneth Grahame is said to have stayed here, inspiring the masterpiece The Wind in the Willows.

Walk down the river and make a beeline for a local country pub – now that is living!

What guests say: “Wonderful place. We relaxed, listening to forest birds and watching the sunset from the veranda. Otters, woodpeckers, kingfishers. Many walks around, and nice pubs. All the amenities for cooking.”

This is one of the best glamping sites around!

What guests say: “Adults-only site, well kept with friendly staff. Stayed in a pod this time which was very spacious. Fishing was good, caught six large carp. You’ll find it nestled in a private forest overlooking the beautiful open fenland countryside, and it’s an absolute delight.

Both the interiors and the surroundings are absolutely showstopping.

This gorgeous spot really does tick all the boxes.
