Set on 20 acres of beautiful land but within walking distance of Hartland, Sleepy Owl strikes the perfect balance of feeling remote, while also being just a stone’s throw from restaurants and pubs.
You can choose to spend your time cosied up in your accommodation, enjoying a picnic or wine by the river on-site, or exploring the best of Devon and Cornwall.
As well as Hartland, you’re close to Clovelly, Bude, and Appledore, among other places, so there are loads of sandy beaches and surfing opportunities nearby.
The site is perfect for couples but each accommodation also has a serparate room for two kids and space for two dogs if you want to bring the family along!
Nest Treehouse
With its Scandi design and wood-fired hot tub, Nest Treehouse is one of my favourite romantic treehouses with hot tubs.
Outside, you’ll find a hot tub, an outdoor bath, a double hammock, a Morso pizza oven, a stove, and a seating nook from which you can relax and enjoy the view of the valley.
Inside, the treehouse is finished to the highest standards with luxury at every corner.
Think a double gold bath with a movie projector screen above it and you’re on the right lines!
There’s also a spacious kitchen, dining, and living room which has everything you could need, including a huge oversized sofa and locally handmade plates and cutlery.
The story is much the same in the bedrooms with a super king-size bed, top-of-the-range Hypnos mattresses, and silky bedding ensuring an incredible night’s sleep.
The Scandi-inspired design also continues into the bathroom.
Here, you’ll discover a marble sink, luxury walk-in shower, and soft LED lighting guaranteed to whisk you away to your happy place!
Hideout Treehouse
Hideout Treehouse is much the same, but instead its aesthetic moves away from Scandi towards a hunting lodge with lots of dark tones.
The huge selling point of Hideout is that it’s the only treehouse in the UK with a moving copper bath.
Yes, you heard me correctly: a moving bath!
Open the French doors onto the terrace and watch as the bath effortlessly glides outside.
This gives you the choice to soak inside in front of the rotating TV, or outside, listening to birdsong and watching the world go by.
As well as the bath and hot tub, you also have the option to swing in a hammock or cook dinner on the BBQ or in the wood-fired pizza oven.
Inside, the space is immaculately finished and filled to the brim with bespoke handmade pieces that you’ll instantly fall in love with.
The kitchen has more than enough for you to cook up a storm and the imposing dining room table and chairs make the perfect place to entertain.
Or if you’d rather just curl up in front of a movie, the cinema screen in the living room will help you do just that!
The bedrooms and bathroom are just as wonderful and add to the overall spa experience.

The Cosy Cowshed
If you don’t fancy life in the trees, Sleepy Owl also has a gorgeous converted cowshed that’s just as beautifully done as Nest and Hideout.
Starting with the outdoor space, there’s a huge partially covered terrace with a wood-fired hot tub, a sofa, a pizza oven, a BBQ, and a dining table for long lunches and al fresco dinners.
There’s also a huge garden which is perfect for letting your dogs and little ones roam free in!
Inside, you can expect big features like a huge sofa, a wooden dining table, and an impressive kitchen with a Nespresso machine.
Just like the treehouses, Cosy Cowshed also features a giant pull-down projector screen so you can enjoy the latest blockbuster.
As for the bedrooms, there’s a gorgeous large master bedroom with sumptuous soft furnishings, as well as a twin room for the kids featuring magical canopies that will spark their imaginations.
The Victorian-inspired bathroom is also a feast for the eyes, featuring stunning retro tiles, a clawfoot bath, and a rainfall shower.
