The Craigengillan Glamping Pods are some of my favourites.

The pods are situated in the heart of the 3,000-acre Craigengillan Estate, which has been voted as one of the most beautiful in Scotland and acts as the gateway to the Galloway Forest Park.

Enjoy showstopping views from the comfort of your pod as you perch outside with a glass of something tasty.

What guests say: “We spent two nights in the glamping pod and what a lovely time we had. There’s nowhere else quite like this!

What guests say: “Had a fabulous stay at Island Pods. Hannah and Iain were so welcoming and friendly, the pods were spotless and well laid out and had everything you needed. The shower was amazing after long days exploring the island. The setting itself was very peaceful and scenic and quite central for getting to places. We had amazing weather when we visited in June and the midgies weren’t too fierce, the fire pit and breeze helped keep them at bay. Would highly recommend and look forward to revisiting, possibly having a dip in the nearby loch next time.”

What guests say: “Me and my sister stayed here for a couple of nights as a wee midweek break. We were in the Four Acres pod, the furthest away pod and to say it was stunning is an understatement! The pod was beautiful (and pink!) inside and out. It also felt very cosy. Outside there was a hot tub which was perfect and great for chilling in and felt private. The toilet block (each pod has its own bathroom) was also beautifully decorated – so much so that I’ve taken photos as inspiration for my own flat!”

There’s nothing more relaxing than enjoying your dinner al fresco around the fire pit, trust me!

When it comes to a relaxing glamping stay, you won’t find much better than this.

What guests say: “Fabulous lodge on the banks of Loch Tay! We stayed here as a couple for our 20th anniversary. It was so peaceful, quiet and very private despite there being a few lodges dotted around the site. There was a beautiful view of the Loch from the lodge and you felt as if you were alone in the middle of nowhere. The lodge was clean, spacious and very well-equipped. The hot tub was clean and very much needed after a hike up Ben Lawers! There were some lovely places to eat within driving distance and a lovely pub a few minutes drive near the falls with a must-visit smoked salmon and cheese shop at the back! We would definitely book to stay here again!”
