And when the hot tubs fit six people, there will be no arguments about who has first dibs in the tub!

Inside, the lodges are ridiculously modern and feature large windows that allow you to enjoy panoramic views across the rolling countryside while cosied up inside.

However, I’d recommend heading outside to boat on the lake or play table tennis or badminton on the games lawn.

What guests say: “The accommodation is set out in a wonderful set of modern lodges with extraordinary views of the countryside over a Long Valley. Our hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating seeing that every wish was fulfilled. The chalets are beautifully appointed and set in spacious gardens with really nice hot tubs. In fact, there’s ample space both inside and out.

Outside on your covered deck, you’ll discover a handmade alfresco dining set, charcoal grill and a semi-sunken hot tub, that overlook a private garden and 180-degree uninterrupted countryside views.

What guests say: “We can see why they decided to call it Eden Lodge. From the moment we walked through the gate to the garden we were impressed. The thing that struck me most on our entrance to the property is just how spotlessly clean and tidy it was. The lodge has been thoughtfully designed and decorated. The hot tub was so relaxing. We used it every day and it was nice to watch the birds on the bird feeder whilst in the hot tub or sat on the sofa.”

13. March End Lodges

Price per night: From £85 for 2 people

Okay, so I’m going to start this recommendation by saying that March End Lodges have to be one of my top five favourite lodges with hot tubs in Devon.

Doesn’t this place just look like a little slice of heaven?

From the quiet unspoilt countryside to the romantic hot tub for two to the outdoor snug chair, I couldn’t think of a much more idyllic space to while away the hours.

Inside, the story is much the same with modern luxuries such as a fully-equipped kitchen, sumptuous king-size bed, a huge bath, and floor to ceiling windows to frame the countryside views.

What guests say: “Beautiful lodges, finished to an extremely high standard and the little touches make the big difference (John Lewis towels, Forthglade treats for the dog on arrival, Prosecco in the fridge). Our initial fear was the size of the lodge and comfort for the dog, both were completely unfounded.”

14. Mullacott Park Lodges

That’s just one reason of many to book a stay here.

The lodges range from mini to standard to VIP, with only a handful benefitting from a hot tub, so make sure you book the right lodge if you want that much-sought-after tub!

You’ve got a fully-fitted kitchen to cook up a feast but on-site you’ll also find The Coffee Lounge which has an all-day breakfast menu, great coffee, freshly made cakes, and more.

What guests say: “On arrival, we had a lovely, friendly welcome from the lady on reception. We were even given some lovely fresh scones. The lodge itself was so cosy and welcoming. It was a cold day when we arrived and the heating was on and the hot tub was warmed up ready to use. The lodge itself was extremely clean and comfortable. The hot tub was very clean and was attended to every day to check filters and chlorine etc.”

15. The Beach Hut at Carswell

Where to start with The Beach Hut except by saying that I’m so beyond desperate to stay here.

It really is a romantic retreat away from the world!

Set in the most jaw-dropping location in your own private cove, the sea views alone are enough to warrant a stay here.

Whether you enjoy the views from your indoor hammocks, your outdoor picnic table, or your wood-fired hot tub is up to you, but regardless, this stay is one you’ll remember for the rest of your life.

And if you want to make your stay extra special, make sure you order a local, organic breakfast hamper, BBQ box or Devon cream tea hamper before you arrive!

The site is home to eight individual wooden lodges, each with spacious verandas, a private hot tub, and all the modern mod-cons you’d expect from a holiday home.

However, Lakeview Manor gives you good reason to not just stay in your lodge.

On their beautiful 45 acre estate, you’ll discover amazing walks, fishing opportunities, and even a restaurant and bar.

What guests say: “My wife and I had a fantastic time. With peace, quiet and privacy we enjoyed some rare time just to ourselves. The lodge was modern, spacious and clean with views over one of the fishing lakes and being on the end of the row it was not at all overlooked. The hot tub was amazing and a real treat! We would definitely recommend this lovely place and jump at the chance at returning if we can.”

Everything was perfect from prosecco and chocolate on arrival, the hot tub, wood burner and fairy lights really make it a romantic setting. The views are stunning. Lovely walks around the lodge along the river, fantastic pub with amazing food is just a short walk away.”

18. Woodbury Woods

family-in-hot-tub-by-woodbury-woods-cabin

Price per night: From £82 for 6 people

Location: Woodbury, Nr Exeter

Woodbury Woods is one of the best lodges with hot tubs in Devon for families.

There are eight lodges on-site, four of which come complete with a bubbling hot tub, but each is just as well-equipped as the last.

However, you won’t want to spend too much inside when there are woodland walks and a country-style bistro right on your doorstep.

Yep, it’s safe to say this is a great stay for foodies.

To make your stay extra special, make sure you order one of their welcome packs before you arrive!

Whether you go for the pamper pack with champagne and luxury chocolates or the luxury BBQ pack with a prime selection of quality meats, it’s the best way to get your stay off to a great start.

What guests say: “A wonderful stay at Woodbury Woods. Great service from all the staff – being heavily pregnant I was given good safe advice on the use of the hot tub whilst pregnant. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and gave good information on the area and things to do. We had our family dog along with us and she was given treats and a water bowl on arrival and was encouraged to join in with all that they had at the campsite.”

Part of the Autograph Lodge Holidays Collection, the three bespoke lodges with sunken hot tubs are full of luxurious touches, all without the price tag!

And with pine trees at every angle, the surroundings lend themselves to great views and even better walks.

What guests say: “We stayed in the Tamar Lodge, it was lovely! Fully fitted kitchen, lounge, dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 with an en-suite and a large separate bathroom (jacuzzi bath!). We were also pleasantly surprised we also had a sauna in our lodge – amazing! The hot tub is perfect, it’s secluded enough to be private which was great.”

Price per night: From £135 for 6 people

That being said, you’ll have a hard time dragging yourself from your lodge when it looks this good!

Plus, who needs a pool when you’ve got your own private hot tub?

The stylish and modern accommodation comes with ample entertaining space, including an outdoor dining area, making it a great base for a family or group of friends.

And if that wasn’t enough to persuade you, please read the review below because it’s enough to make anyone want to instantly book a stay here!

What guests say: “The lodge was absolutely superb. It was beautifully furnished and extremely clean. We had drinks and food on our first night as part of the takeaway service and it was excellent. For me what stood out the most was the outstanding level of customer service from the staff. They were absolutely amazing and could not do enough for us. They delivered a bottle of prosecco with a card and balloons and some wonderful chocolate brownies. It was such a lovely and thoughtful touch. I have been lucky enough to stay in many 5 star hotels around the world through my job and this place far exceeds many of the places I have stayed.”

21. The Nap Cabin

side-view-of-the-nap-cabin-overlooking-the-taw-valley-lodges-with-hot-tubs-devon

Price per night: From £140 for 4 people

Location: Burrington, Chumleigh

The Nap Cabin is one of my all-time personal favourite lodges with hot tubs in Devon.

There’s so much to love about this place that it’s impossible to know where to start when describing it.

Firstly, the cabin does views seriously well.

Sitting at the top of a hill in its own field commanding spectacular views of the valley, it doesn’t get much more peaceful and secluded than this.

The cabin is ideal for all-year-round stays too.

The Swedish wood burner and wood-fired hot tub will keep you toasty in winter, and if it gets warm in summer, you can fold the doors back and let the summer breeze flow in!

What guests say: “The Nap is amazingly beautiful, simple and calm with the luxury of a 5 * apartment. Beautifully decorated and practical. Everything is there for a purpose. As it stands alone in the middle of nowhere, the sense of calm is immense. The beds are very comfortable and the loft-bedroom made an adventure of going to bed for our 10-year-old. The kitchen is well equipped, and the bathroom is a good size with a powerful shower.”

22. Finlake Holiday Resort

lodge-on-raised-decking-at-finlake-holiday-resort

Price per night: From £73 for 4 people

Location: Chudleigh, Newton Abbot

Cheaper than most lodges with hot tubs in Devon, Finlake Holiday Resort is another affordable option for small families planning a staycation.

Set in 130 acres of beautiful South Devon countryside, there’s an endless number of things to get up to here.

A waterpark, outdoor heated pool, gym, tennis courts, spa, archery, horse riding, fishing lakes, restaurants, bars, the list goes on…

And that’s still only scratching the surface!

To top it all off, there’s a wide array of amazing lodges to choose from.

I’m not one to pick favourites but some of the Scandinavian style lodges look next-level.

What guests say: “We cannot fault this accommodation – it was beautiful! The accommodation was decorated and furnished with a luxury feel to it and it was immaculately clean. The hot tub was a fantastic addition and we enjoyed our evenings relaxing in it, and the swimming pool was fab and again very clean. We enjoyed a spa session and again this was lovely! An all-around fantastic break.”

23. Otter Falls Lodges

hot-tub-in-decking-of-otter-falls-lodge-overlooking-lake-lodges-with-hot-tubs-devon

Price per night: From £90 for 6 people

Location: Rawridge, Upottery

If you don’t think that Otter Falls Lodges‘ decking is one of the most idyllic spots in the world then I’m not sure we can be friends.

Bubbling sunken hot tub? Check. Wooden deck chairs? Check. Amazing views across a private fishing lake? One big check!

Each of the thirteen Finnish pine-log lodges enjoys amazing views over a sparkling fishing lake, so don’t worry, you can always cast your line straight from or nearby your lodge.

Choose from one, two or three-bedroom lodges for your romantic getaway, family break or holiday with friends.

What guests say: “I honestly don’t think we could have found a more perfect location. The lodges are well designed so everyone has their own private space and it was very peaceful and secluded. There was a wonderful view from our balcony with the hot tub which was really enjoyed the complimentary bubbles! We also had a cosy lounge with a log burner where logs and firefighters were provided.”

Bright and modern with large windows to maximise light and amazing views, this lodge is a wonderful retreat away from the world.

While the lodge is something seriously special, make sure you explore further afield too.

You may even get to meet the resident goats who enjoy wandering around the nearby meadow!

What guests say: “The place was beautiful, very cosy with everything you need for your stay! The big windows, the river view, the sound of birds and the river water in the morning make this a dream place to stay. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hot tub is just the final touch. Every guest should try the hot tub under the stars in the evening. You won’t be disappointed.”
