There are some really great options to choose from, each with its own vibe, so you’ll be sure to find the purr-fect match for you.

Cat cafes are a great thing to do if you fancy doing something a little different, and spending a couple of hours with the cute cats will be sure to put a smile on your face.

Order yourself a cup of tea and chill out with your new furry friends – there really isn’t a better way to spend an afternoon in London!

These are places that have it all, with tasty food and drinks and the cutest kittens in town, and I know you’re going to love them.

So without further ado, let’s get stuck in and find your new favourite cat cafes in London!

1. Java Whiskers Marylebone

Address: 105 Great Portland St, London W1W 6QF

Price: From £17.99 per person for 55 minutes

Java Whiskers Marylebone is one of the finest London cat cafes.

This cute little cat cafe is a foster home for homeless cats, with all of the resident cats looking for a new loving forever home.

That means if you fall in love with one of them, then you can apply to adopt it!

The cafe is spread over two floors, with a glass ceiling that lets in plenty of natural daylight, making it particularly lovely on a sunny day!

Its central location makes it one of the most convenient London cat cafes, as it’s just eight minutes walk from Oxford Circus, so is super easy to get to!

The Cat Lounge can be found on the ground floor of the cafe, while the Kitten Lounge is on the lower floor – both are well worth a visit!

Prices start from £14.99 per person during the week for 55 minutes in the Cat Lounge, or £19.99 per person if you just fancy visiting the Kitten Lounge for 55 minutes.

It costs a little more to visit at the weekend, so visit on a weekday if you want to save a few pounds!

You can also opt for afternoon tea if you visit at the weekend, which is served in the Cat Lounge and costs £34.99 per person, which also covers your entry to the cafe.

Get yourself booked in and get ready for the afternoon of dreams!

2. Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium

Address: 152-154, Bethnal Grn Rd, London E2 6DG

Phone number: 020 8616 9390

Price: £20 per person for 90 minutes

Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium has been on the scene since 2013.

It was London’s first cat cafe, and is unlike any other.

The cafe is spread across two sprawling stories, giving you plenty of space to wander around and spend some time with the cats.

This is a place to escape the worries of everyday life and relax with your new furry friends.

Head down to the Basement Forest or check out the Mad Catter’s Tearoom for a cup of tea as felines roam all around you.

This is a real east London institution, and it’s not one to be missed.

A visit to this spot will set you back £20 per person for 90 minutes, which is super reasonable if you ask me!

How about giving their Cream Tea with the Cats a go?

They’ve even got vegan and gluten-free options on offer!

Our favourite experience here is the Pinot & Pawtraits, though – it’s London’s very first Sip & Paint experience with cats!

Paint the cats as you relax in style with a glass of wine in this gorgeous environment.

Get yourself down there and make some new furry friends!

3. Whiskers & Cream

Address: 593 Holloway Rd, Archway, London N19 4DJ

Phone number: 020 7263 2888

Price: From £13 per person for 90 minutes

Whiskers & Cream is one of our absolute favourite London cat cafes.

They claim to be the best cat cafe in London, so this isn’t one to miss.

It’s a super elegant spot that’s home to some beautiful cats, and I know you’ll love it.

They’ve currently got nine adorable furry residents who all love a cuddle.

The cafe is open every day of the week except Wednesdays, and it’s well worth a visit.

This gorgeous little cafe serves one of the best afternoon teas in London, too – what better way could there be to enjoy a scone and a cuppa than with a cat by your side?

They’ve also got a delicious daily menu for you to get stuck into – I’d absolutely recommend the Tortilla Bake, it’s a real treat!

On the website they introduce you to all of their furry friends, so if you want to get to know them before heading in, then check them out!

Oscar the Tonkinese cat has to be my favourite – hang onto your food when he’s around!

This is a place to unwind and relax in a chic and classy space, and it’ll be sure to help you get rid of your daily worries.

As far as London cat cafes go, it really doesn’t get much better than this.

Don’t miss out on this gorgeous spot – with prices starting at £13 per person for 90 minutes, it’s also one of the cheapest London cat cafes!

4. Tea House Theatre

Address: 139 Vauxhall Walk, London SE11 5HL

Phone number: 020 7207 4585

Tea House Theatre isn’t a cat cafe per se, but it’s still well worth a visit.

The reason they make the list is that they have two gorgeous Theatre Cats – a black and white cat called Maggie, and her sweet brother Gladstone.

They’re super friendly and they love a cuddle, and I know you’re going to love them.

This is a bright cafe and event menu with a great British menu and theme, and it’s not one that you’re going to want to miss.

They pride themselves on their loose-leaf teas and bespoke cakes, so if that sounds like your kind of thing, then get yourself down here.

It’s got a calm and pleasant atmosphere that will be sure to help you relax.

Their selection of teas is truly divine, and it’s the dream for any tea lovers out there.

This is a tea house by day that transforms into a beautiful theatre by night.

They also host a number of monthly events, from the Vauxhall Tuneless Choir to a poetry night.

The Tea House has three beehives on the roof, too, so dig into some of their very own honey while you’re here enjoying your afternoon.

It’s cute, it’s quirky and it’s a great place to spend a day.

I know you’re going to love it here – Maggie and Gladstone are waiting for a cuddle!

5. Verve London Pet Boutique & Café

Address: 179 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2SB

Phone number: 020 7229 1348

Price: £5 entry per person + £10 minimum spend per person

Verve London Pet Boutique & Café is the world’s first pet boutique, café and bar, grooming parlour and doggy hotel.

It’s £5 per person to get in, and there’s a minimum spend of £10 each, which is pretty reasonable.

This one works a little differently in that you bring your own kitties here, rather than their having their own cats in the boutique.

Your pet will be well looked after here, that’s for sure.

They’ve got everything from professional grooming services to an extensive selection of pet toys and some tasty food for your furry friends.

There’s also a bar for the owners to get stuck into, so everyone is catered to here!

If you want a unique experience in London, then this is one of the best places for it.

Bring your pup or your pet cat and treat them to the pampering experience of a lifetime.

It’s colourful and relaxed, and it’s one of our favourite London cat cafes.

If you bring your dog along, they can also stay the night at the doggy hotel if you need a night off!

They also offer a daycare service, so if you’re looking for someone to look after your furry friend for the day, then these guys will be happy to help.

Head on over and give yourself and your four-legged friend the day of dreams!

6. Java Whiskers White City

cat-and-a-man-inside-java-whiskers-white-city

Address: Ariel Way, London W12 7HB

Price: From £17.99 per person for 55 minutes

Java Whiskers White City is the Marylebone location’s chic older sister.

It’s the brand’s marvellous flagship cafe, and it’s super special.

This location only opened in December 2022, and it’s already making a name for itself.

It’s cosy and a little bigger than the Marylebone location, and it’s one of the best London cat cafes.

As with the other location, all cats here are up for adoption.

If you’re looking for a new furry friend, then this is the place to go!

The cafe can be found in Westfield, so it’s perfectly located for a spot of relaxing after a long day of shopping.

If you’re after a little love, a coffee and a cat cuddle, then there’s nowhere better than this.

You’ll need to book in advance, as this one is a popular spot!

It’s also got a gorgeous outdoor seating area with big windows, filling the cafe with natural light.

They’ve also got a Cat Lounge, where afternoon tea is served and a Kitten Lounge, where the little kitties roam around.

Prices start from £14.99 per person on weekdays in the Cat Lounge, and £19.99 per person on weekends for 55 minutes slots.

Order a steaming cup of coffee and cuddle up with some furry friends!

That concludes our roundup of the best London cat cafes!

There may not be hundreds to choose from, but it’s certainly a case of quality over quantity.

There’s something for everyone here, with each cafe offering something a little different.

From cosy corners to elegant cafes, you’ll be sure to find your purr-fect match.
