Rooftop Bars Harrogate: 5 Best Bars with Amazing Views [2024]

by

Harrogate is a gorgeous Victorian spa town that I’ll never tire of visiting.

It has amazing architecture, beautiful gardens, oh, and some amazing rooftop bars!

Although there may only currently be five rooftop bars in Harrogate, they’re all amazing.

Each of these bars offers something completely different, whether it’s great views, amazing food, or Instagrammable surroundings.

Have a scroll through this list of the five best rooftop bars in Harrogate and pick your favourite!

1. MOJO

Address: 49-51 Parliament St, Harrogate HG1 2RE

Phone number: 0113 360 4810

MOJO is easily one of my favourite rooftop bars in Harrogate.

This popular Northern chain has been popping up across the North of England and it’s not hard to see why it’s so well-loved!

Their Harrogate roof terrace is situated in the centre of town and offers awesome views, epic booze, and the famed MOJO vibe that you won’t be able to get enough of.

The roof terrace has a full cocktail bar that will keep the drinks flowing long into the night.

From gin, tequila, rum and brandy to Prosecco, vodka, whisky and liqueur, there are endless cocktails for you to choose from.

So many, in fact, that you’ll want to return time and time again just to try out their entire cocktail selection!

If all these cocktails are increasing your appetite, don’t worry because you can head downstairs to enjoy some food.

They serve everything from Floridian-style squid rings to their Sgt. Pepper’s dirty burger, and it’s all delicious!

And to make things even better, MOJO is one of the best places to go for bottomless brunch in Harrogate, too.

What’s not to love?!

You can even hire out the entire rooftop for your work-do, hen night or birthday celebration.

It’s a no-brainer, I’d say.

2. Piccolino

Address: 46-48 Parliament St, Harrogate HG1 2RL

Phone number: 01423 705777

Piccolino has perfected the full Italian experience.

Here, you can enjoy quality food and delicious drinks in one of Harrogate’s most scenic settings.

Their stunning rooftop all-weather terrace is obviously my favourite place to eat and drink at Piccolino, and I have a funny feeling that it will be yours too.

On a sunny day, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Italy, dining al fresco in the sunshine.

And on rainy days, you’ll still be able to enjoy the terrace as it’s designed to ensure you can drink and dine, rain or shine.

Unsurprisingly, wine is their thing at Piccolino, so wine lovers will especially love the terrace.

Enjoy only the finest white and red, or treat yourself to Prosecco, Franciacorta and champagne.

Their cocktails are brilliant and also worth a try, though.

As for the food, their menu is gigantic and filled with so many delicious dishes that you won’t know where to start.

From pasta and pizza to meat and fish, you’re bound to leave Piccolino sufficiently well-fed and watered.

3. Lucia Wine Bar & Grill

Address: 3 Ripon Rd, Harrogate HG1 2SX

Phone number: 01423 500071

Lucia is a restaurant, lounge and vintage champagne bar that you’ll find in York, Beverley, and of course, Harrogate!

This Northern gem is well-loved for its hand-crafted Italian food and beautiful bespoke cocktails.

And once you’ve seen their luxury outdoor courtyard, you’ll be keen to visit too.

Their drinks menu is expansive and features delights like their signature cocktails, wine, champagne, premium spirits and beer.

Enjoy your drinks al fresco in their courtyard and see whether you can resist ordering some food while you’re at it.

Whether you just fancy an aperitif or wish to fully indulge in classic Italian cuisine, you won’t regret ordering some food alongside your drinks.

As well as serving pasta, pizza, steak, burgers, meat dishes, and salads, they also have a fully dedicated vegan menu.

It’s good enough to tempt even the biggest of meat-eaters!

I mean, how good does Le Veneziane gnocchi or a Moving Mountains vegan burger sound?

They also do a mean Sunday roast which is well worth trying out.

Bon appétit!

4. Springs Bar Terrace

Address: King’s Rd, Harrogate HG1 1XX

Phone number: 01423 849988

Springs Bar Terrace is situated in the Crowne Plaza Hotel and it’s a real treat.

Luckily, you don’t need to be a hotel guest to enjoy their gorgeous terrace because locals and visitors can pass by at any time too!

The terrace is a little suntrap so it’s the perfect place to head for some casual afternoon drinks on a sunny day.

Their drinks menu is expansive, featuring wine, champagne, and cocktails.

I can’t decide whether I’d want to order the French 75 Twist or the Purdey’s Passion more – they both sound delicious!

As for the food, Springs Bar serves an array of small plates, grills, burgers, salads and large plates, and they’re all super tasty.

I’d order either the roast red pepper penne or the spiced cauliflower en croûte for sure.

The perfect accompaniment to some delicious cocktails and the sun on your face, I’d say!

5. The West Park Hotel

Address: 19 W Park, Harrogate HG1 1BJ

Phone number: 01423 524471

Last but by no means least, we have The West Park Hotel, a beautiful luxury hotel with a bar to match.

Their relaxing all-weather courtyard is the perfect place to soak up the sun or shield from the elements.

A retractable roof, heated seating and heat lamps keep you cosy on stormy nights.

But, of course, this bar is best enjoyed on a beautiful summer’s day.

However, it’s not just the design that makes this bar such a gem!

At the bar, you’ll discover an extensive and innovative cocktail menu, fine wines and champagne, and the very best local and international ales.

The Yorkshire Tuxedo cocktail has my name written all over it, as do the Wes Park Retreat and the Pear & Honey Margarita.

Guests are also spoilt for choice when it comes to food.

Celebrating locally-sourced meats and seasonal vegetables, their menu is one of the best around.

The sage and Harrogate blue cheese gnocchi is said to be the stuff of dreams, as is the crispy Thai vegetable parcel.

Whatever you order, I just know you’re going to want to come back again to try out a new dish.

Yep – it’s all that tasty!

Well, that concludes my round-up of all the rooftop bars in Harrogate!

And aren’t they just brilliant?!

As there are only five rooftop bars in town you could easily visit all of them at some point.

Go on – I know you want to!
