It’s been over ten years now since Honest Burgers first opened its doors, so they felt it was time to open V Honest, their 100% plant-based option.

Their vegan burgers have become a bit of a fan favourite, so they decided that these tasty treats deserved their own home.

The team at Honest has always wanted to push the boundaries of what can be done in the vegan space, so they’ve collaborated with the best plant-based producers in the country to help achieve that.

The mission is simple: they want to make tasty food that pushes the boundaries of plant-based ingredients.

Give their Vegan Buffalo burger a go, and you’ll soon see why this is such a popular restaurant!

Mildreds is a 100% plant-based restaurant that manages to be vegan without preaching about it to the whole world.

Part of their appeal is their completely humble attitude, and it’s precisely that appeal that has allowed them to open six restaurants so far.

Their Covent Garden location is great for going plant-based pre-theatre, or just for a delicious meal with friends.

From breakfast through to dinner, they’re here to feed you no matter the occasion, so step inside and prepare to be delighted.

If you’re visiting for dinner, I’d recommend getting the katsu hot dog, because who doesn’t love katsu and hot dogs?

4. Avobar

Address: 24 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8ND

Phone number: 020 3701 6500

Avobar is an all-day superfood restaurant that brings a fresh new vibe to healthy eating with creative dishes inspired by… the avocado.

Surprising, right, with a name like that?

Their creative twists on this famous superfood will have you looking at the avocado like never before though, trust me!

This isn’t a vegan restaurant, technically, but they have plenty of vegan options, which comes with the territory of being an avocado restaurant I guess!

The vegan tacos are an absolute delight, especially when paired with their tasty guac and chips or the Avo Vegan Beet!

Give these guys a go – you’ll soon be putting avocado in everything too!

5. Masala Zone

6. Wahaca

Address: 66 Chandos Pl, London WC2N 4HG

Phone number: 020 3951 9741

Wahaca is quite possibly one of the most popular Mexican chains in London these days, and it’s not hard to see why.

Although this is another one that isn’t entirely vegan, their vegan selection is so good that it would be criminal not to include it.

If you’re looking for a taste of sunshine and tacos in Covent Garden, then Wahaca is here to help you find just that.

The menu is full of Mexican dishes with a difference, and let me tell you, they’re pretty damn fantastic, especially the vegan options!

Give the vegan set menu a go if you’re dining with a plant-based friend, too – there’s enough food in it to keep you full for hours!

If you love Greek food and you want some great vegan options, then The Real Greek is a fab choice of restaurant for you.

Their lovely Covent Garden location serves delicious food in a warm and friendly atmosphere that almost transports you to Greece!

It’s in the heart of Covent Garden and is right near a lot of the major theatres, so is a fantastic option for a pre-theatre bite to eat.

Their Filoxenia dinner menu gets you four dishes for just £14.95 per person and is available from Sunday to Thursday after 5pm – pretty great, right?

Give their melitzanosalata and Santorini fava a go to get started, then tuck into tasty Gigantes with spinach, and thank me later.

8. Wagamama

Address: 17 Bedford St, London WC2E 9HP

Phone number: 020 3876 3727

If you’ve not heard of Wagamama, then you’ve likely been living under a rock for the last few years.

What you may not know, though, is that their vegan menu is one of the best around, and it’s pretty extensive!

So, as far as vegan restaurants in Covent Garden go, Wagamama will always be a good choice as far as I’m concerned.

Their menu is 50% plant-based, but it’s 100% delicious, I can promise you that.

Start with the bang bang cauliflower and the sticky vegan ‘ribs’, and don’t forget to give their steamed buns a go too!

Then tuck into the hot vegatsu for a meal of champions.

10. Sticks’n’Sushi

The Covent Garden branch of Sticks’n’Sushi is perfectly located right in the heart of London’s illustrious theatre quarter.

It’s perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike, with plenty of choice on both sides, so it’s a great group dinner spot.

They’re going for Japanese with a Scandinavian twist, and I think it’s fair to say that this unique set-up is serving them quite well!

Whether you’ve spent the day shopping or you’re popping in before the theatre, this is a beautiful choice for a bite to eat.

Make sure to try one of their tasty Japanese-inspired cocktails to round off your day in the right way.

11. Dishoom

Address: 12 Upper St Martin’s Ln, London WC2H 9FB

Phone number: 020 7420 9320

Dishoom is one of my favourite restaurants and given they have a great vegan menu, they’re very worthy of a place on a list of the best vegan restaurants in Covent Garden if you ask me.

This gorgeous restaurant has locations across London, but the Covent Garden one is by far one of my favourites.

They serve a lovingly curated menu of Bombay comfort food and first-class drinks every day from breakfast through to dinner.

This branch is the original Dishoom, so it’s where it all started, which means you have to check it out, obviously.

You have to try the Vada Pau – it’s basically a Bombay chip butty, and it couldn’t be tastier if it tried.

12. Vantra Vegan

Address: 5 Wardour St, London W1D 6PB

Phone number: 020 7287 5222

Vantra Vegan has been shaking up the London vegan scene with its delicious and nutritious food ever since 1999.

This organic lounge bar has a live performance space and serves tasty steamed and raw vegan food to a happy clientele.

They use a universally inclusive approach that caters to all main diet principles because they want to show that veganism doesn’t need to compromise on taste or enjoyment.

Here you’ll find sumptuous plant-based food that will nourish your body as well as support a sustainable relationship with our planet.

Their stand-up comedy extravaganzas are great fun, too, and make a perfect accompaniment to their delicious dishes.

13. Pho

Address: 65A Long Acre, London WC2E 9JD

Phone number: 020 3058 1695

Pho is perfectly located just a stone’s throw away from the tube station, and it makes for a great place for a quick bite to eat.

It’s a healthy Vietnamese spot with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, so everyone will be happy here.

One of the best things about it is that it’s also cheap and cheerful, so if you’re on a budget, this one might just be for you.

Their hot and spicy THIS isn’t chicken soup is a great choice to get started on a cold winter’s day.

Follow it up with tofu and mushroom wok-fried noodles, and you’ll truly be onto a winning combination of a dish.

14. Fatt Pundit

Address: 77 Berwick St, London W1F 8TH

Phone number: 020 7287 7900

Fatt Pundit is a fantastic Indo-Chinese restaurant with some of the best vegan food in Covent Garden on offer.

Their Bombay chilli mock chicken dish will be sure to put a smile on your face, especially when paired with the popcorn cauliflower.

Of course, you can’t start a meal here without their delicious momos, so be sure to order yourself the mixed vegetable option.

The restaurant’s cuisine originates from the migration of the Hakka people from the Chinese province of Canton to India, bringing their culinary skills with them.

Indo-Chinese cuisine has since become an integral part of Indian cooking, and it will soon be a firm favourite of yours.

15. Club Mexicana

Address: Seven Dials Market, Earlham St, London WC2H 9LX

Have you always wanted to find the perfect vegan Mexican?

Then look no further than the fantastic Club Mexicana.

By far one of the best vegan restaurants in Covent Garden, this amazing Mexican street food kitchen is 100% plant-based.

From tacos to nachos and beyond, there’s something for everyone here at the fun and unique Club Mexicana.

They also serve frozen margaritas – what more could you want?

The portions are generous and the flavours are incredible, so this really is a winner.

They even do a cheezeburger taco!

This really is the restaurant of my dreams.

16. Govinda’s Pure Vegetarian Restaurant

Address: 9 Soho St, London W1D 3DL

Phone number: 020 3687 0617

If you love a good thali, then you’ll absolutely adore Govinda’s Pure Vegetarian Restaurant.

None of their dishes has egg in it, and although some do contain dairy, the menu is, for the most part, vegan.

It’s a casual, friendly restaurant that’s perfect for a relaxed meal with friends.

They specialise in the traditional Indian thali, which is great if you’re a little indecisive because you get a bit of all your favourites.

Their aim is to provide fresh, nutritious meals at affordable prices, so it’s a great choice if you’re on a tighter budget.

It’s also one of London’s oldest veggie/vegan eateries, having been established in 1979, so they definitely know what they’re doing!

17. Din Tai Fung

Address: 5 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8PS

Phone number: 020 3034 3888

Din Tai Fung is an authentic Taiwanese restaurant with some delightful vegan options available that you’ll be sure to love.

Their vegan menu isn’t the largest, but they do have some great dishes, including a tasty vegan mushroom Xiao Long Bao that isn’t one to be missed.

The founder of the restaurant, Mr Yang, started making Xiao Long Baos back in 1972, and their quality is what has kept customers coming through the doors for all these years.

The brand has won numerous awards over the years, including a Michelin star, so you can rest assured that this is a good one.

It may not be the most extensive of vegan menus, but I can tell you now that their vegan dishes are some of the best around.

18. 26 Grains

Address: 1 Neal’s Yard, London WC2H 9DP

26 Grains is a Scandinavian-inspired restaurant that’s home to wholesome porridge, smoothie bowls and more.

They use organic whole oat groats to make one of the creamiest porridges in town, and boy oh boy is it tasty.

The good news is that much of their menu is vegan or can be made vegan very easily, so you’re in luck if that’s what you’re after!

The warm potato and winter greens salad on their all-day menu is a tasty treat, as is the ragu on sourdough toast.

Whatever you choose though, you’ll be in for a treat here.

Perfect for a plate of something comforting, this will soon be your new go-to spot.

19. Gauthier

Address: 21 Romilly St, London W1D 5AF

Phone number: 020 7494 3111

Gauthier is a vegan French restaurant, which it’s fair to say, is still a pretty unique concept in and out of London.

Chef Alexis Gauthier’s first created a plant-focused menu back in 1997, so he has truly been ahead of the curve for a long time.

After Alexis sensed a cultural shift towards a more plant-based lifestyle, he wrote his book Vegetronic where he spoke directly to a plant-curious demographic.

Gauthier has always had vegetables at the heart of what it does, and it is now the sole focus of the restaurant.

It’s the pinnacle of deliciousness, with a strong hint of luxury and refinement, all without using any animal products, of course.

20. Flower Burger

Address: 43 Charlotte St., London W1T 1RS

Phone number: 020 7323 9523

Flower Burger is the original rainbow vegan burger, and it’s also one of the best vegan restaurants in Covent Garden.

It was the very first vegan fast food restaurant to serve joyful, colourful burgers with a culinary experience that’s open to everyone.

The brand originated in Milan where its Instagrammable rainbow burgers were an instant hit and the restaurant has since made its way over to us in London.

Burger buns range from turmeric yellow to vegetable charcoal black with every other colour in between.

Tuck into their Original Rainbow Burger with a side of patatas bravas, and you’ll soon see why this is such a popular spot.

So, that concludes my round-up of the best vegan restaurants in Covent Garden.

There are of course vegan options in many restaurants these days, but the ones on this list have a vegan offering that’s worth shouting about.

Give them all a go over time when you’re in the area – they’re all well worth a visit, trust me!
