Acai Bowls Melbourne: 40 Best Places to Go for Acai Bowls [2024]

Globally inspired, the coastal capital of Victoria is somewhat of a foodie hotspot, with so many great places to wine and dine.

Melbourne’s vegan population continues to rise and with it, comes an increase in plant-based eateries, health food spots, and superfood smoothie bars.

Of course, this is great news for you because it means that there are countless great places to go for acai bowls in Melbourne!

When the weather gets warm, there’s nothing better than enjoying a gigantic, refreshing acai bowl.

And they’re loaded with antioxidants, too, so you always feel great after eating one!

So from cheap grab-and-go bowls to Instagrammable bowls in stylish cafes, here are the 40 best places to go for acai bowls in Melbourne.

1. Green Cup

Address: Multiple locations

Price per bowl: $15.20 – $16.10

Let’s kick things off with Green Cup, a popular health food cafe with six locations in Melbourne.

If you get the pleasure of visiting them, you’ll instantly see why they’re so well-liked.

They have seven amazing acai bowls on their menu, with menu highlights being the Go-to Bowl and the Nutella Bowl.

The former gets you acai topped with housemade peanut butter, strawberries, banana, and cacao nibs, while the latter gets you acai topped with Nutella, granola, strawberries and banana.

If these sound good to you, you can find Green Cup in Aramadle, Carlton, Caulfield, Hawthorn, Melbourne, and South Yarra.

And don’t forget, they’re also on Uber Eats so if you need some acai goodness at home, you know what to do!

2. Holy Bowly

Phone number: (03) 9939 8833

Price per bowl: $16

Up next is Holy Bowly, a superfood bar that encourages you to ‘eat yourself happy’.

And while I can’t speak to the rest of their menu, I can say that their acai bowls definitely achieve this goal.

Their menu is constantly changing and evolving but you can always expect a handful of delicious acai bowls to appear on it.

My current favourite bowl of theirs is their peanut butter bowl which is acai topped with granola, toasted coconut, cacao nibs, COYO yoghurt, strawberries, and housemade peanut butter.

Holy Bowly is situated right by the beach too.

And what better place is there to enjoy an acai bowl than from the beach, right?!

3. Naughty Boy Café

Phone number: (03) 9041 7870

Price per bowl: $14 – $20

Looking for a large industrial space, perfect to work in, that serves high-quality breakfasts and amazing acai bowls?

Then Naughty Boy Café is for you.

Sadly, they only serve their acai bowls in the summer months, as their seasonal menu swaps out acai bowls for porridge bowls when it gets cooler.

However, all this means is that you’ll have to time your visit accordingly!

Naughty Boy serves some of the most Instagrammable acai bowls in Melbourne, topped with granola, fresh fruit, and even edible flowers.

You’re not going to want to miss out on this one!

4. Combi Elwood

Address: 138-140 Ormond Rd, Elwood VIC 3184

Originally started by serving coffee and toasties from a van, Combi has humble beginnings.

However, since then, their menu has evolved to start serving diverse food built around healthy eating.

As you can imagine from a health food spot, Combi’s superfood bowls have a staple place on their menu.

And luckily for you, one of those bowls is an acai bowl!

To make it, they blend acai with banana, blueberries, and coconut water, then top it with crispy coconut flakes, activated caramelised buckinis, banana, apple, cranberries, and pistachios.

This bowl is just as tasty as it is unique, and you can also choose to add granola, peanut butter, or almond and pistachio butter for an additional $2.

Worth it, I’d say!
