You’ll need to drive about half an hour outside of Hull city centre to get to The Spotted Duck.

But as soon as you see the incredible selection of cakes on offer, you’ll know that the journey was worth it!

While afternoon tea is always on the menu, I’d recommend visiting them in December to enjoy their festive variation.

It includes turkey sandwiches, pigs in blankets, Christmas cake, and mulled wine.

Their afternoon tea costs £18 per person, or alternatively, you can get a vegan or gluten-free afternoon tea for £20.

Similarly, you can add a small bottle of Prosecco or a gin and tonic for £22 instead!

It’s a brilliant experience in itself, but I’d recommend staying the night in one of their gorgeous rooms for the full luxury, all-out afternoon tea experience.

They serve afternoon tea on three-tiered blue brush stoke china which has been designed especially for Tickton Grange by Royal Crown Derby and Maham Anjum.

From the very first bite to the last slurp of Buckingham Palace loose-leaf tea, the experience is nothing short of luxurious.

It’ll cost you £28.50 per person and I can assure you it’s well worth every penny!

For this price, you get sweets, savouries, sandwiches, and teas.

This includes everything from white chocolate and Earl Grey nougat to charcoal cheddar mousse with crisp filo pastry.

Alternatively, you can upgrade to a G&T tea or a Prosecco tea for £35, or a champagne tea for £38.50.
