by

Peckham is cool, it’s vibrant and it’s fast becoming a popular hangout for the people of South London.

There’s always something happening in Peckham, and it’s a great place to go for everything from delicious food to amazing art.

One type of bar that has started making a name for itself in Peckham is the rooftop bar.

A lot of these rooftop bars offer sweeping views of London, showing you the best of the city without having to traipse into central London.

So if you’re looking for the best rooftop bars in Peckham, then don’t worry because I’ve got you covered.

I’ve written up a list of the very best rooftop bars in Peckham, and there are some fantastic ones around.

Have a scroll through this list and head on up to your favourites.

1. Bussey Rooftop Bar

Address: Roof B, Bussey Building, 133 Rye Ln, London SE15 4ST

Phone number: 020 7635 6655

Bussey Rooftop Bar is an incredibly cool spot, with some fab beers on tap and incredible pizzas to line the stomach with.

The views are unmatched, and this bar stands head and shoulders above the rest.

It sits atop the iconic Bussey Building, and it’s a real tropical rooftop oasis.

It’s the highest drinking spot in Peckham, so if you want amazing views and incredible vibes, then head up here.

This fantastic rooftop has 360-degree views of London – can you imagine how good the Instas will be?

Tuck into their incredible vegan pizza blanca, would be my suggestion.

Even if you’re not vegan, it’s an absolute winner!

If, however, you’re more in the mood for a meaty choice, the double chorizo is meant to be insanely good.

Try and get up here just before sunset, as the view of the sunset from up here is unmissable.

Be sure to book yourself a table here, though, because this one is popular.

You wouldn’t want to miss out!

2. The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden

Address: 4a Station Way, London SE15 4RX

Phone number: 020 7635 2585

The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden is a chic art-filled cocktail bar with a gorgeous leafy rooftop garden that’s perfect for a drink with friends.

The place oozes speakeasy vibes, and we all love a speakeasy, don’t we?!

They describe themselves as a lounge bar meets supper club meets 21st-century cocktail lounge, so I think it’s fair to say it does it all.

They have live music, cabaret shows and comedy nights, all of which are things I love to see in a venue!

If you’re after an intimate environment that still provides lively vibes, then CLF is calling your name.

The Hennessy roof garden is a great spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the atmosphere.

We love a green rooftop spot, and this one is as good as they come if you ask me.

As far as food is concerned, their menu offers authentic Dominican cuisine, which is absolutely to die for.

The Dominican tacos are a= fan favourite, as is the Sancocho if you want a true taste of the cuisine.

Head here for cool vibes, stay for the great food, then thank me later.

3. Skylight Peckham

Address: 120 Peckham Hill St, Theatre Walk, London SE15 5JT

Skylight Peckham is a hip rooftop hangout that’s perfect for everything from working to cocktails.

They offer locally sourced plates and creative cocktails, as well as a banging bottomless brunch which you’re sure to love.

They also have some super fun heated igloos during the festive season, which make for a great Instagram shot.

To hire an igloo, it’ll cost you £90 per group, which includes two bottles of house wine and prosecco.

Isn’t that such a great deal?!

The bottomless brunch here is an absolute vibe too.

Think live jazz, fusion food and fizz, all enjoyed against a backdrop of London’s skyline.

Sounds pretty perfect, doesn’t it?

Their live jazz programme is a real selling point for Skylight, and it’s not to be missed.

With live music on offer five nights a week and one of the best rooftop bottomless brunches in London, how can you say no to this bar?

4. Frank’s Cafe at Bold Tendencies

Address: Bold Tendencies, 7th-10th Floor Multi-Storey Car Park, 95a Rye Ln, London SE15 4ST

Frank’s Cafe at Bold Tendencies is a non-profit, arty venue that only opens in the summer season, making it even more desirable!

They offer food throughout the day which focuses on simplicity and seasonality and is completely delicious.

When it comes to drinks, you can enjoy classic cocktails, draught beers and wonderful wines, so there’s something for every taste.

They also have the Concert Bar, which opens before and after live performances and serves up tasty food and drink.

This spot is situated atop a multi-storey car park, and it’s a cool little place.

Tuck into some Datterini tomatoes on toast and double-fried plantain, and admire the views around you.

At Loading Bay, another of the rooftop spaces here, you’ll find an equally incredible menu.

The star of the show here is the Gorgonzola dolce sandwich, because who doesn’t love a cheesy sandwich washed down with a cold pint?

I certainly do!

Be sure not to miss this one this summer.

It’s well worth a visit!

5. Rye Society

Address: Roof D, Bussey Building, 133 Rye Ln, London SE15 4ST

Rye Society is another banging rooftop bar located atop Bussey Building, right in the heart of Peckham.

This one has glorious views of South London and lets you look out on the hustle and bustle of Copeland Park from above.

Rye Society are real champions of their neighbouring microbreweries, but they also bring you the best craft beers from beyond the capital.

It’s the place to go when gathering a group of friends.

With sharing pitchers and communal benches, there isn’t a better spot around for group gatherings.

Their resident kitchen, Top Buns, brings you the best in planet-friendly burgers, which is what we love to see!

Derived from sustainable sources and trusted farmers, you know that their grub is putting the planet first.

Give the Queen Frida burger a go.

Fried plantain on a burger?

That’s a yes from me!

Make sure to check this rooftop bar out – it’s a real gem in the area.

6. Forza Wine

Address: The Rooftop, 133a Rye Ln, London SE15 4BQ

Phone number: 020 7732 7500

Say hello to one of my favourite rooftop bars in Peckham.

Forza Wine is a laid-back bar offering city views and terrace dining – just what we want!

They describe themselves as the younger, taller, better-looking version of Forza Win, and they’d be correct.

Their food menu is made up of tasty small plates, and it changes so regularly you’ll have to keep coming back to try it all.

One small plate is a snack, or get a few if you feel particularly hungry.

Their current menu has a grilled flatbread with leeks, ricotta and thyme on it, which sounds divine.

However, you can order the whole menu for £110 if you want to try it all – the perfect option for bigger groups!

They also have a house cocktail called a Mexpresso which is a hot tequila and coffee cocktail, and how can you say no to that?

It’s two of my favourite things in one drink – I have to try it!

If you want a chilled out spot to hang out with your mates, then this is it.

7. TOLA

people-drinking-outside-tola-peckham-at-night

Address: 56 Peckham High St, London SE15 5DP

TOLA is a stylish late-night bar with an intimate vibe and an incredible rooftop terrace.

Every weekend, the dancefloor at TOLA comes to life with an in-house music programme that showcases the best of London’s sound system culture and underground dance music.

It’s cool and the vibe is always popping, so you’re sure to have a banging night out here.

If you’re looking for a party venue in Peckham, then this may just well be the perfect match for you.

They also have a cracking resident kitchen called Passa Passa, which is a West Indian small plate offering.

Passa Passa has a passion for traditional Afro-Caribbean cuisine and ingredients, and it shows.

Zana Millen uses the small-plate dining style that’s so loved in London to bring the food of the Caribbean to Peckham, and it’s incredible.

Make sure to visit TOLA, whether it’s for the amazing food or the party atmosphere.

You won’t regret this one, I can promise you that!

8. Rooftop Film Club

Phone number: 020 7635 6655

Rooftop Film Club is yet another fantastic spot that you’ll find on top of the amazing Bussey Building.

It’s an open-air cinema with a difference because this one is on top of a rooftop!

It doesn’t get much cooler than that if you ask me.

They believe that all experiences should be memorable, so they are transforming cinema nights into something you’ll never forget.

Skylines, sunset evenings and incredible films are what you can expect, so if that’s what you’re after, then this will be right up your street.

Settle into a comfy deckchair, watch a fantastic movie and get ready for a wonderful night.

They also serve hot food provided by Bussey Rooftop Bar, as well as offering a banging drinks selection, making this even more of a fun night out!
